RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist the Senior Programmer(s) with the maintenance, support, and development of programs, systems, and processes surrounding AccuWeather.com Web-related properties. This work will be primarily HTML page development for the presentation layer.
  • Troubleshoot and identify technical issues surrounding the AccuWeather.com Web-properties.
  • Provide 24 hour support to AccuWeather’s Customer Support and Network Operations Center personnel for AccuWeather.com products and services programmed by the team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability with follow-through in project completion and problem resolution.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience and/or proficiency in basic computer programming methodologies.
  • Experience and/or proficiency in modern programming languages (C#, .Net, ASP).
  • Experience and/or proficiency in HTML code development (Web-site page creation and programming) with an understanding and use of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
  • Demonstrated interest in computer programming or science; Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated interest in continued development of computer science programming skill set(s).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Interest and proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment under changing and strict deadlines.
