The Vice President, AccuWeather TV Network (ATN) is responsible for all aspects of the ATN Division, doing so by meeting and preferably exceeding corporate strategic and tactical targets, and doing so within Division and company cost budgets. The ATN Division consists of the company's TV Network as well as ITV, VOD and IPTV products. The Vice President, ATN is an executive level staff member responsible to participate with other executives to carry out all missions of the company.

The Vice President, AccuWeather TV Network (ATN) is responsible for all aspects of the ATN Division, doing so by meeting and preferably exceeding corporate strategic and tactical targets, and doing so within Division and company cost budgets.  The ATN Division consists of the company’s TV Network as well as ITV, VOD and IPTV products. The Vice President, ATN is an executive level staff member within the company and is responsible to participate with other executives to carry out all missions of the company, even those beyond the ATN Division.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
 
(1) Working as a part of the corporate management team in determining the strategic direction of the company and the ATN Division and to best position the company and ATN Division to meet and preferably exceed corporate objectives,
 
(2) Providing dynamic leadership of AccuWeather’s ATN Division and within the company’s executive level management, to help construct and implement the corporate and division strategic and tactical direction,
 
(3) Providing ongoing and needed feedback to the corporate management team about the corporate success path and AccuWeather’s ATN Division organization’s and personnel metrics in meeting  corporate objectives, and
 
(4) Ensuring that the division’s results are achieved in the most cost effective ways. 
 
Specifically, the Vice President, ATN will have the following attributes.

Tactical Goals and Responsibilities:
 
  • Plan, develop, implement, and execute the business plan for the division, to include revenue, expense, earnings, capital, sales, personnel,  research and development, marketing, etc. in close cooperation with executive and other management.
  • Advises on strategic business development and key corporate planning issues that relate the operations of the company.
  • Defines and recommends short-term and long-term plans and programs, together with supporting budget requests and financial estimates.
  • Leads creation and implementation of business models and pricing following AccuWeather processes.
  • Leads creation of metrics as required to manage business, and communicates metrics to ensure appropriate alignment and executive awareness.
  • Identifies training needs, initiates development of subordinates, and recommends effective personnel action.
  • Builds an organizational culture in which pass ion for continuous improvement is innate.
  • Submits budgets for assigned activities in accordance with the budget procedure.  Approves budget expenses up to authorized dollar amounts, with a constant objective of reducing costs.
  • Leads managers to evaluate and take actions that are consistent with the company’s strategy.
  • Participates in  opportunities and business development as required to meet division profit, sales, and revenue goals.
  • Leads and contributes to the development of compelling messaging for assigned products.
 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Manages, directly or indirectly, all staff members in the ATN Division.
  • Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  leading the division, constant growth, staffing (hiring, and training employees); planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues.
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
 
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and five years related experience at the expected level of performance; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
