Late one night GLENN WELLEN accidentally strikes a dog with his car and brings the injured dog home. He nurses the dog back to health, names her PRINCESS and much to his pregnant wife’s objections he adopts Princess. A strong bond is formed between Glenn and Princess. But the baby will soon be arriving and his wife, CASSIE, is very frail so a housekeeper needs to be hired. Glenn’s aunt, VALERIE, arrives from Wales to also give Cassie support. Princess takes an immediate dislike to Valerie and runs off.
After an interview, Glenn and Cassie hire a young woman, ROWAN. She is from Wales, Glenn’s native land. He approves of her immediately and although Cassie is reluctant, because the woman is so attractive, she gives in. Aunt Valerie becomes very suspicious of Rowan especially when she sees how Rowan is taking over the household and Glenn’s affection.
At the Celtic Club, Glenn and Cassie meet professor Jules who tells them the tale of a family of werewolves who lived in the very area where Glenn and Rowan’s family originate. He even has blurry photos of the family and one member resembles Rowan. Later that evening Prof Jules and Aunt Valerie have a secret meeting and we realize they are in partnership against Rowan.
Princess has been seen prowling the neighborhood at night and Cassie suspects Rowan has been feeding her but Aunt Valerie comes to an even wilder conclusion. Rowan is Princess. One evening the two women challenge one another. Rowan comes from a tribe of werewolves who wish to remain free and savage while Valerie comes from a tribe who want to blend in with the humans.
The two women change into wolves and do battle which sends Valerie to the hospital.
With his partner incapacitated Jules knows he must bring his suspicions to Glenn but is confronted by Rowan in a parking lot. He shoots Rowan forcing her to change into a wolf and kill him.
When Valerie leaves the hospital she arrives at the Wellen house prepared to have it out with Rowan because she knows Rowan has come to America to take back the man who was betrothed to her as a child, Glenn, and his baby to continue the bloodline. This final battle leaves Valerie dead. Rowan delivers Cassie’ baby. Seen leaving the Wellen house, never to return, is a large male wolf, Glenn, and his female companion who carries a spry newborn wolf pup by the nape of its neck.
