Number 9, Number 9! 46bliss remix #9 by painter/remixer Aaron Jasinski
3:09pm on April 27, 2009

Introducing Aaron Jasinski, remixer of our ninth 46bliss remix.

Besides making among the most original remixes of our music that we've heard, Aaron is an artist living in Seattle Washington here in the USA.

You can see some of his art at his web site, and check out his "old site", with very neat flash graphics.

His remix of 2B1 takes the song to a whole new place. Please check it out!

As usual, the song can be heard on our myspace page (www.myspace.com/46bliss), and by signing up with our email list at ReverbNation (www.reverbnation.com/46bliss), you can download the song for free!

Happy Spring,

Jack, Clare and David

46bliss - remix #8: The Way You Are remixed by Jay Brannan (UK)
8:45pm on April 5, 2009

The dark, haunting sound of "The Way You Are", as heard on the Veronica Mars TV Soundtrack CD on Nettwerk records, is TOTALLY overhauled to become an addictive funky dance track, thanks to remixer Jay Brannan. Here's what Jay says about himself:

I live in the UK and have a B.s.c honours degree in studio recording and performance technology. I play guitar and love to make music, any kind of music for that matter. When remixing or creating my own songs I aim to make something that is simple and easy to listen to maybe you could call it POP. For me it is all about song structure producing a track that flows and is easy to listen to, something you might imagine on the radio, commercial you might say.

About this remix:

Loved this track. Wanted to make it as different as possible. David’s vocal and the atmospheric backround vocal immediately grabbed my attention so I cut and looped them and turned those into the main focus of the song. Added some brass and played some bouncy synths to funk it up a little.

Enjoy  - tell us how you liked it! And remember, if you join our mailing list at Reverbnation (www.reverbnation.com/46bliss you can download the track for free!

Cheers til next time,

Jack, David and Clare

46bliss remix #7 - Sentimental Angel (Eterman Floorball Remix) : new fathers!
8:52pm on March 26, 2009

Continuing our "20 Remixes in 20 Weeks" campaign, we delve into the personal: this catchy dance floor version of "Sentimental Angel" is by Eterman, the remixing team from Sweden already featured with their remix of "The Way You Are" in February, and two of the Eterman members are in the family way! Says Martin Loof,

"Both me and Patrik having new born babies here. So it's not going to be much time over for musical projekt for some time now  :) "

Best wishes go out to you from us all - 46bliss and fans - enjoy your new families!

46bliss has been making music since 1994 - and my (Jack's) own fatherhood came about in 1996, when my wife Judith and I had our first child, Will.  He's 13 now, playing up a storm on the drums, while my daughter Gwen is singing her heart out in her 5th grade production of The Music Man! Life goes on, faster than ever, it seems!

So check out Eterman's trancey, hypnotic and eminently danceable remix of Sentimental Angel, send us feedback if you would, and please let people know that if they sign up on our email list at Reverbnation, either there or at Myspace or Facebook, they can download the track for free!

Love and out -

Jack, David and Clare

46bliss remix #6: "Joan of Arc (Violent Sex Vixenz Remix) from Sweden
8:12pm on March 18, 2009

The 20 remixes in 20 weeks campaign continues with "Joan of Arc (Violent Sex Vixenz Remix)".  Violent Sex Vixenz hail from Sweden, and had this to say about the remix:

Got to listen to several 46bliss tracks and I got hooked on the strings and the french vibe of "Joan of Arc".I had a "Amelie from Montmarte"/ "The City of Lost Children" feel the whole time while remixing. Wanted it to be more edgy than the original, but keeping the overall vibe and chorus.Edgy and Lo-fi,but true to the original.

The original version of "Joan of Arc" is also on our MySpace page so you can listen to the before and after if you like - the original features a real accordian player and has a certain french vibe to it; the remix goes in a whole new direction, for sure.

Please check it out and we hope you'll tell your friends - thanks again for the continuing support!

Just a reminder that this remix will be on myspace as well, and if your friends sign up for the newslist at the 46bliss website (www.46bliss.com) or at www.reverbnation.com/46bliss, they'll be able to login to our Reverbnation page and download all the remixes featured so far, new ones added each week for 20 weeks!

Thanks,

Jack, Clare and David

46bliss Remix #5 - You're Not God - Remix - from Italy! Giveaway Contest Too
7:25pm on March 11, 2009

This is an upbeat, drum-n-bassy hi-energy remix you've got to hear!

Time: 2:51      Download: Free      Value: Priceless!

The whole 46bliss remix project began with a remix contest of our song "You're Not God", at Sony's AcidPlanet.com web site, about a year ago to the day.

We were bowled over when over 230 people submitted remixes.  Many were excellent. This one was the winner.

MonsterJ? A mysterious personality from Italy. We don't know much about him, but his remixes are brilliant. More of his fabulous work is on the remix CDs, available at iTunes, CD Baby, Rhapsody etc.

As always, new fans who sign up for the 46bliss newslist can download remixes from the 46bliss page at Reverbnation.com.

And if people sign up before March 20, they may be the lucky winner who gets an autographed 2-CD Remix Me Away Set, or one of the lucky 5 who get a downloadable version of the 2 CDs.

Til next week,

46bliss

Jack, David and Clare
