Hello everyone.  We're super excited to announce that we will have the honor of playing the SXSW Music Festival this year in Austin, TX.  We will be performing as a part of the Get Happy Tour showcase, sharing the stage with Bowling for Soup, The Presidents of the United States of America, Army of Freshmen, Zebrahead, and Ludo!!!  It should be an incredible show and we're thrilled to be a part of it.  Admission for that show is free with a SXSW wristband, but if you're one of the few people who can't afford to pay $600 to see shows, then fear not!  Tickets will be available to the general public at the door.  Nice!!!  So show up and party with us... because it's a lot of good friends on the bill and we can't wait to have a great time with them and you.

And if you don't live in Texas and can't make that trip, we're also doing a set of tour dates around that SXSW show.  I've posted all the dates we have so far... there might be one or two more to throw on there.  Check them out and come see us play!  We haven't toured America in such a long time and we need everyone to come out and make it special for us.  We promise to make it special for you too.  We'll be debuting at least one brand new song that we've been working on, and there will be a couple more surprises in there as well.

So let's go over some things. Wheatus.com has had a big makeover so head there and see what's new. You'll find a new Gear section, new member bios, and an archive of all of our soon-to-be-award-winning webcasts.

Also, I mentioned earlier that Liz was leaving the band, but it turns out that Missy, our other backing vocalist is also departing after getting a tremendous opportunity to attend Grad school in Oxford! We wish her nothing but the very best of luck and assure you all that she will still be a serious presence in the Wheatus family.

Having said that, Wheatus now welcomes 2 new members to the family! Georgia and Johanna will be taking over backing vocal duties for upcoming shows and recording prospects! We're very excited to have them on board.... check Wheatus.com for their bios and post a hello on our forums!

We are currently planning our first run of US tour dates in over a year, which is very exciting for us! Dates are slowly coming in, but you can check our MySpace for info (and I'm gonna try to figure out how to post them on here too).

Oh and did I mention we're working on a new album and we're gonna have new songs to play you all on the upcoming tour and have new songs for you to hear/purchase this fall? We cannot wait to share what we've been working on... keep iLiking us and we promise you'll be the first to know.

Hi hi hi everybody!

Happy Thanksgiving to you all. At least the Americans out there. For the rest of you it's just another day. But I can smell the stuffing and simply cannot wait much longer.

So yes... a friendly reminder that we are playing the BEST SHOW EVER this weekend. It's gonna be at the Luna Lounge in Brooklyn, Saturday, Nov. 24th (that is THIS Saturday) at 7pm. Tickets are $8 and are available at the door or online right now at TICKETWEB. And we will be playing with MC Lars and Holding Back Entirely. And it will be Liz Brown's final Wheatus show EVER. We promise it will be different than the average Wheatus show. It's also our last show for quite a while. Come out and see for yourself what we've been up to.
