U-Melt's Southern Tour Kicks Off Tomorrow! Plus Late Night at Jazz Fest and 2 Sets at Summer Camp!

U-Melt News: Spring Southern Tour, Late Night Jazz Fest and 2 Sets at Summer Camp! Hey hey Hey Everyone, Spring is here and we are very excited to be kicking off our Spring Southern Tour this Thursday, 4/24, when we return to The 8x10 in Baltimore, MD. The following night we will be returning to Roanoke, where THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE IN VENUE! Club MixOne6 is now closed so our show on Friday has been moved to the upstairs room at 202 Market (202 Market Square). On Saturday, 4/26, we are very excited to be making our debut at Headliners in Columbia, SC, before heading to Atlanta on Sunday for our return to Smith's Olde Bar. After taking Monday off, we'll be heading down to Mississippi for shows at Proud Larry's in Oxford on Tuesday, 4/29, and Martin's in Jackson on Wednesday. Tje next day, we'll then be returning to Birmingham, AL, for our return to Zydeco on Thursday, 5/1. Following our show in Birmingham, we are very psyched to be heading back to New Orleans for another late night Jazz Fest throw down on Saturday, 5/3 (technically 5/4)! This year, the show will take place at The Blue Nile and we are very excited to welcome our new friend DJ Logic to join us for the show! We can't wait to see what develops with Logic on stage and we hope you can make it down to New Orleans and join us for this exciting night of music. The following Thursday, we are happy to be heading back to the land of Rob and Adam for our return to Mulachy's in Wantagh for 2 long sets! Both the NxNW show and the Mulcahy's show are "An Evening With U-Melt" in an attempt to provide you all with as much U-Melt music as possible with the limited amount of Northeast shows over the next few months--please mark your calendars now and join us for these two shows! U-MELT RETURNS TO THE SOUTH!

We know it’s been too long since we’ve returned down south for an extended run of shows and we are very excited to announce our Spring Southern Tour! Following our two brief stops in the south for our shows with Umphrey’s McGee on 4/2 in Myrtle Beach and 4/3 in Asheville, we will be returning for a run of shows that will bring us to our second consecutive New Orleans late night Jazz Fest club show on Saturday, 5/3 (technically 5/4 start time) at The Blue Nile with DJ Logic!

First, the tour will begin on Thursday, 4/24, when we return to The 8x10 in Baltimore for a co-bill with The Pnuma Trio. The following night, 4/25, we’ll be making our debut at the new Mix One6 Club in Roanoke, VA. Then on Saturday, 4/26, we will be heading down to Columbia, SC, for our debut at Headliners, before returning to Atlanta on Sunday, 4/27, for a performance at Smith’s Olde Bar.

On Tuesday, 4/29, we’ll be making our debut at Proud Larry’s in Oxford, MS, before heading down to Jackson, for our debut at Martin’s on 4/30. The following night, Thursday, 5/1, we are excited to be heading back to Birmingham, AL, for our return to Zydeco.

As we mentioned above, before the Spring Southern Tour begins, we are extremely excited to have been invited to open up for our good friends Umphrey's McGee for three shows at the beginning of April. The first two shows will be down south, when we support Umphrey's at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on Wednesday, 4/2, which will be followed by a show with Umphrey's at The Orange Peel in Asheville, North Carolina on 4/3. The third show with Umphrey's McGee will take place back in the Northeast at the Calvin Theater in Northampton, Mass. on Friday, 4/11. U-Melt's Boston Residency Begins This Thursday! Plus 2 Nights In NYC on 3/28 and 3/29!

U-Melt's Winter Tour is now complete and we had such a blast! Thanks so much to all of you who joined us on the road--we hope to make it back to play for all of you again really soon!

After taking a week off to recharge, we will be hitting the road again this Thursday as we begin our 3 week Thursday Residency at Boston's The Paradise Lounge. The first show this Thursday will be "An Evening With U-Melt", with U-Melt hitting the stage at 10:00pm. The following two Thursday Residency shows will feature opening sets by The Latham Band (3/20), and Hello Mahalo (3/27), with the opener hitting the stage at 9:00pm, and U-Melt following at 10:00pm. This Friday, 3/14, we will be heading back down to the Jersey shore to once again perform as part of Phanphest's Cabin Fever Fest at Paul's Tavern in Lake Como, NJ. As an added bonus, our good friends The Point will be playing a tweener set on the second stage to keep you all dancing in between the main stage sets. Next Friday, following our second Boston show, U-Melt will be travelling to Syracuse, NY for an exciting return to The Mezzanotte Lounge in Syracuse on 3/21! U-Melt Returns To Burlington & Albany This Weekend!

Hey Everyone,

We are very excited for our shows this weekend, when we will be returning to the Higher Ground in S. Burlington on Friday and Revolution Hall in Troy, NY on Saturday.

Friday's show at the Higher Ground is an all ages show and only $6 in advance, $8 on the day of show. Show time is around 8:00pm, and we will be joined by Burlington locals The Limes and ElephantBear. U-Melt will play two sets, beginning around 10:00pm.

Saturday's show at Revolution Hall ia 18+, and $13 in advance, $15 on the day of show. We are very psyched to be joined by our good friends The Breakfast for Saturday's show, who will be kicking off the night with a set at 9:00pm. We are a little more than halfway through our Winter Tour and wanted to check in with all of you to update you on what’s in store over the next few weeks and beyond, as well as fill you in on some exciting developments. Thanks to everyone who joined us on our Midwest and southern run, as well as our 7 straight shows in Colorado—we sure felt welcome for our first time in the Rocky Mountains.

After taking some a little time off over the past week to continue work on our new studio release, we are extremely excited to be hitting the road again over the next two weeks in the Northeast, including our 500th Show Celebration at the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton, Mass. this Thursday, Feb. 21st. On Friday, we are heading back to Ithaca, NY for a long over-due return to Castaways, before heading back down to the warm confines of the River Street Jazz Café in Plains, PA on Saturday, Feb. 22nd. The following weekend, we are psyched to be returning to the Higher Ground in S. Burlington, VT on Friday, Feb. 29th, followed by another stop at Revolution Hall in Troy, NY on Saturday, March 1st. There has been a slight change to our previously announced March Madness Tour, as we have been invited to open up for our good friends Umphrey’s McGee for three shows at the beginning of April. The first two shows will be down south, when we support Umphrey’s at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on Wednesday, April 2nd, which will be followed by a show with Umphrey’s at The Orange Peel in Asheville, North Carolina on Thursday, April 3rd. The third show with Umphrey’s McGee will take place back in the Northeast at the Calvin Theater in Northampton, Mass. on Friday, April 11th. U-MELT’S MARCH MADNESS ’08 TOUR

We are very sorry to have to reduce our previously announced Boston Residency to 3 weeks so we can play these shows with Umphrey’s, but we are still extremely excited to be performing on 3 consecutive Thursday’s at Boston’s Paradise Lounge on March 13th, 20th and 27th. We unfortunately can no longer offer a discounted ticket package, but we have made sure to keep the ticket prices down for this 18+ residency and entry will only be $8 in advance and $10 on the day of show for all 3 shows. In addition to the 2 nights in New York City and our 3 show residency in Boston, the March Madness tour will also include shows in New Jersey and upstate in Syracuse, New York. On Friday, March 14th, we’ll be returning to Lake Como, NJ for a co-bill with the Juggling Suns as part of night #1 of Phanphest’s Cabin Fever Fest. U-Melt goes on first at 8:30pm so come out early—our friends The Point will be playing as well in between sets. Finally, on Friday, March 21st, we are happy to be returning to Syracuse to for long sets at the Mezzanotte Lounge—tickets are only $10 in advance, $12 on the day of show and the show is 18+.

We are not done announcing shows for April so please stay tuned for upcoming announcing on additional Northeast dates during the beginning of April and a Southern Tour announcement for the end of April which will bring us back down to New Orleans for a late night show during the second weekend of Jazz Fest. Mark your calendars and please stay tuned for additional information!

Hey Hey Hey Everyone!

Happy New Year! We want to thank each and everyone of you for a wonderful 2007, which was capped off with an amazing night on New Year's Eve at the Highline Ballroom in New York City! To those of you who were able to make it to the show, thank you so much joining us on such a special night. For those who could not make it, we hope you'll join us next year! Thanks to everyone who helped make New Year's so special, including all of you who helped make it happen with spreading the word about the show and about U-Melt's music. And a special thanks to Jim Loughlin of moe., who ventured down after his show at Radio City to join us for the majority of our 3.5 hour set. What a great way to kick off the 2008!

U-MELT WINTER TOUR '08

With the new additions of shows at Higher Ground in S. Burlington, VT on 2/29, and Revolution Hall in Troy, NY, on 3/1--our Winter Tour is now complete! As we previously announced, we are very excited to be embarking on our very first tour of Colorado at the end of January, and have built a full weeks worth of Colorado shows into our Winter Tour!

The tour kicks off in Madison, Wisconsin next Wednesday, 1/23, when U-Melt returns to the High Noon Saloon to headline a co-bill with Colorado's own Prism. The next night, we are psyched to be returning to The Cabooze in Minneapolis, MI, for our very first headlining performance in Minnesota! From there, we'll be travelling down to Northern Illinois for our return to The House Cafe in Delkab on Friday, 1/25.

Then, on Saturday 1/26, we are very excited to be returning to Chicago for our debut at Martyrs'! U-Melt will be headlining and playing two long sets, and Chicago's own Spare Parts will be kicking things off at 9:30pm.

U-Melt will then spend the entire following week playing all over the state of Colorado, beginning with a two night stand at The Tugboat in Steamboat Springs on 1/28 and 1/29. On Wednesday, 1/30, we are very psyched to have the opportunity to headline the Fox Theatre in Boulder for our first time in town! The next night, we'll be travelling to Rollinsville for a show at The Stage Stop, before heading to Fraser on 2/1 for a show at the Crooked Creek Saloon.

We'll be rounding out the weeks worth of shows with a very exciting debut at the brand new The Falcon in Englewood (Denver) on Saturday, 2/2, before heading to Fort Collins on Sunday, 2/3 to celebrate Super Sunday at Hodi's Half Note!

The following week, we'll be heading back east along a more southern route. First, we'll be making our Bottleneck debut on Wednesday, 2/6 when we stop in Lawrence, Kansas. The next night, we'll be stopping in St, Louis for a triumphant return to the Broadway Oyster Bar. From there, we'll be heading down to Knoxville, Tennessee for a show at The World Grotto on 2/8, before rounding out the week with a stop at Stella Blue in Asheville, North Carolina.

We'll be taking the following week off, but will hit the road again the Northeast on Thursday, 2/21 for our 500th Show Celebration at The Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton, Mass. The next night, we are very excited about our long over-due return to Ithaca, where we'll be headlining Castaways. From there, we'll be heading down to Plains, PA for a show at the River Street Jazz Cafe.

U-Melt's Winter Tour '08 will conclude the following weekend with newly announced shows in S. Burlington at the Higher Ground on 2/29, and Revolution Hall on 3/1. These two venues and cities are two of our favorite places to play--we hope you'll join us for our return and for the conclusion of our 2008 Winter Tour!

We are also very happy to announce our preliminary schedule for our March Madness '08 Tour, which will include our very first two night hometown stand at New York's brand new Sullivan Hall on 3/28 and 3/29 and a 4 week Thursday residency at Boston's The Paradise Lounge from 3/13-4/3.

After the great success of the New Year's Eve Highline Ballroom show, we expect these shows to sell very well and hopefully sell out and we encourage you all to buy tickets in advance! We are working on some very exciting support bands for these two shows and will be revealing who will be joining us on stage those nights very soon.
