Holy garbage, Zia McCabe hates to stop spinning the records. She's at Spaceland in L-A on Thursday. Zia will be DJing at Spaceland in Los Angeles on Thursday, August 21st.  She's in the back bar from 10-2 while Line and Circle, Lower Heaven, and Magic Mirror play out front.  We'll see you there.

I just saw some dude spray painting the lawn and sidewalk under the 405 white -- they guy was obviously on official business, because he was wearing Jerry Seinfeld pants.  Also, when I spray paint things like that, it's called "vandalizing".  (Art is what they call it in the year 2020 -- you'll see, Tom Potter.) However, I don't ever recall spray painting living grass.  Dumb.

So, our city is so stupid sometimes.  Get it?  (Don't move here.)  Where do we like to get away to?  Our home away from home, our not so secret love, Australia.  Damn straight.

Our friends at KEXP in Seattle are having their <a href="http://www.kexp.org/events/special.asp" target="new">Sixth Annual KEXP Summer BBQ</a> on August 9, and we're gonna go!  You should totally go, too.

Joseph Arthur and The Lonely Astronauts, The Helio Sequence, Common Market and The Saturday Knights are also there.  We'll be on at seven -- the magic hour!

Sad to say it but we're forced to cancel our shows in Brasil, and we're really not sure why. It has something to do with government agencies and such? Beats us. We're trying to get these gigs in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo rescheduled, because we really want to play there, so we'll let you know what comes of it.
