Earlier this year, David Bowie was asked by a UK newspaper to compile a selection of 12 songs from his own catalogue for a limited edition giveaway CD titled iSELECT: BOWIE. Rather than submitting a surface-skimming list of top hits, Bowie delivered a personal, career-spanning selection of recordings he "never seems to tire of," including two exclusive tracks, with his own insightful notes; personal reflections that provide fascinating insight into every selection and why each song continues to resonate with him.

Bundled with the June 29, 2008 Mail On Sunday newspaper, the CD was sold out and unavailable by the next day, becoming an out-of-print collectors' item and stirring worldwide interest. To meet demand for this eclectic and personal collection, iSELECT: BOWIE is now available digitally in the UK and physically elsewhere from October 14th.

'Live Santa Monica '72' was officially released by EMI on 30th June 2008, meaning you can finally listen to the momentous recording without scratches (to quote a Bowie Facebook friend!) and enjoy its lovely new packaging.

And if that's still not enough, the Mail on Sunday this week - 22nd June - will be including a Bowie feature in their Live magazine.

David Bowie's classic bootleg, 'Live Santa Monica '72' will finally be released on June 30th 2008. Recorded during the first leg of the Ziggy Stardust US tour at Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, Los Angeles on October 20th 1972, this is David Bowie at the pinnacle of his creative power.

Over the last 36 years this momentous recording has become a rare and highly revered bootleg - the ownership of which proved one to be a 'true' Bowie fan. It provides a more than 70 minute glimpse into the earliest nationwide live radio exposure granted David and the Spiders From Mars: Mick Ronson -- guitar, vocals, Trevor Bolder -- bass, Mick "Woody" Woodmansey -- drums and Mike Garson -- piano.

In 1981 NME critics called it, "(quite simply) ... the performer's, and one of rock's, best ever bootlegs".

This numbered Limited Edition CD is released in an open top canvass box with 4 postcards, a poster and a 16 page booklet with rare photos from the gig.

Also available as a numbered Limited Edition double LP on 180 gram heavyweight vinyl - a must for collectors.
