MySpace, the world's premier social network, today announced the Elvis Week Karaoke Contest, running July 28 - August 4 for MySpace members in the U.S. and Canada. MySpace and EPE have partnered together to encourage MySpace Karaoke users to celebrate Elvis Week 2008 by recording their version of an Elvis Presley song for a chance to win a trip to Memphis to perform live, on stage at Graceland, Elvis's home, during Elvis Week with entertainers who performed with Elvis. MySpace members can enter the contest here. The winner of the Elvis Week Karaoke Contest will be chosen by EPE, MySpace Karaoke and Sony BMG, Elvis' record label. Elvis Week 2008 takes place August 9 - 17 with a variety of events in Memphis and at Graceland.

"Since the launch of Elvis' official MySpace page, we've been excited about what a great tool this has become to communicate and connect with Elvis fans around the world. We are looking forward to working with MySpace to bring such a fun and entertaining contest to the MySpace community and we encourage everyone to enter," said Kevin Kern, Elvis Presley Enterprises. The first-place winner will receive the rare opportunity to perform with Emmy-nominated singer and writer Terry Mike Jeffrey and entertainers who actually toured and recorded with Elvis, including The Imperials. A four-time Grammy award-winning group, The Imperials toured with Elvis from 1969 to 1972 and backed him up on two Gospel albums. The winner's performance will take place on the evening of Tuesday, August 12. The performance will be recorded and the winner will get a DVD of the performance, along with an Elvis Week poster autographed by many of the Elvis Week celebrity guests. The winner will also receive two roundtrip air transportation tickets to Graceland in Memphis; hotel accommodations; two Elvis Week Fun Packages; tickets to the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest Semifinals and Finals, held during Elvis Week; tickets to Shawn Klush in concert, tour passes to Graceland, Sun Studio, STAX Museum of American Soul Music, the Rock 'n' Roll Soul Museum; and dinner for two at EP's Delta Kitchen on Beale Street.

There will be 10 second-place prizes awarded, which will include an Elvis: Viva Las Vegas DVD in addition to an Elvis MP3/Video player preloaded with clips of some of Elvis' greatest performances. 20 third-place winners will receive a one-year membership to the Official Elvis Insiders.

If you were lucky enough to see All Shook Up on Broadway, you will remember Leah Hocking in her role as Miss Sandra. She has enjoyed a lot of Broadway success, also appearing in Grease, Guys and Dolls, Hairspray, Jeckyll and Hyde and Mamma Mia!, among others. She is very excited about her upcoming role during Elvis Week in ELVIS: From Broadway to Memphis with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, and recently she took some time to answer some questions for Elvis fans:

Q. Are you an Elvis fan?
A. Oh, I am now! My husband directed a show in Germany with all Elvis music. It was a great show, and it really sparked my interest in Elvis and his music. However, it wasn't until I started working on All Shook Up in 2001 that i really got to know the extent of his talent and influence.

Q. What's your first memory of Elvis?
A. My first clear-cut memory of Elvis was from video clips of him performing in Vegas. His presence on stage was electric, but you could tell he was a normal guy when he goofed off during the rehearsals.

Q. Do you have a favorite Elvis song?
A. Well, i am quite partial to "Let Yourself Go" and "Power of My Love," but "Can't Help Falling in Love" is my favorite and I personally think it is one of the greatest songs of all time!

Q. Why do you think Elvis is still so popular today?
A. There was no one like him before and there's been no one like them since. He brought an unknown form of music to the main stream that made everyone take notice and ultimately fall in love.

ELVIS: From Broadway to Memphis with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra
