John Mayer's website has a ton of new features designed for the 2008 Summer Tour!

First is Encore Voting. A poll with 3 possible song choices will go live on the site 24 hours before every show day. Voting will be open for a 24 hour window and close at midnight on the date of the concert. The results will be sent to the tour, where the band will play the winning song choice in the encore that night. Please note that the encore poll may not be open for festival performances. You can also access voting directly from your Blackberry or other mobile device by visiting encore.johnmayer.com.

Johnmayer.com will aslo be a source for live recordings of shows in the 2008 Summer Tour. If you have a recording you would like to share or distribute, please send a message to recordings@johnmayer.com. Include your name, the concert date, venue/city, and an email or url that can be accessed in order to obtain a copy of the recording. Recordings will be posted along with post-concert information for each show at johnmayer.com.

Blackberry has also developed a sister site for the tour, located at johnmayer.blackberry.com. Users can upload or link video, photos, and comments from shows throughout the Summer Tour as well as access other functionality from Blackberry.

"Where The Light Is", the live audio/video recording from Nokia Theatre LA Live in Los Angeles, CA on December 8, 2007 is released today! The album is available in Blu-Ray, DVD, Double CD, and Vinyl formats, as well as via download via the iTunes Music Store. A Target-exclusive package is available at Target locations from July 1-5.

New shows have been added to the 2008 John Mayer Summer Tour and ticket pre-sales have begun! The Local-83 Listeners' Union, John Mayer's official fan club, is offering ticket pre-sales and the best seats in the house to nine shows, and if you purchase through them you may also score a chance to meet John! Tickets go on sale to the public tomorrow, June 7th.

And if you’ve already got your tickets for the summer tour… Where The Light Is: John Mayer Live in Los Angeles is now available for pre-order! Where The Light Is captures Mayer's December 8, 2007 live performance at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. The concert features three sets: an acoustic performance, a rare John Mayer Trio performance, and one set with the full band. The film is directed by Danny Clinch and is available in 2 CD, LP, DVD and Blu-Ray Disc formats. Where The Light Is releases on July 1st, 2008.

We are pleased to announce the John Mayer 2008 Summer Tour. Colbie Caillat and Brett Dennen will support the 22 dates ranging from July 2-August 2. You can view complete details at johnmayer.com.

The Local-83 Presale for most shows on the Summer Tour begins this Thursday, April 10, 2008, at 10 AM local time. An AMEX onsale follows on Saturday, April 12. Tickets go onsale to the public on Saturday, April 19.

Exceptions are the 7/23 show in Paso Robles, CA (presale begins on Friday, April 18, 2008 at 10 AM PST and tickets are available to the public on April 25) and the two festival shows (Rothbury on 7/6 and Mile High Music Festival on 7/20, neither of which have a presale period).

JM will perform at the first-ever ROTHBURY - a four-day, environmentally-sustainable music and camping festival held at Double JJ Ranch in Rothbury, Michigan.
