The concert was good but definitely not as amazing as some of the other Diru shows I've been to, probably due to song choice. However, Kyo's vocals were very good and his stage antics were quite entertaining and beautiful. The way the light hit his body in so many different colors would've made for an excellent painting, but that's just my artist's opinion.
I had to work all day and catch a bus to get to the venue and when I found it the line was long but relatively fast moving. I was pleased that I had arrived a bit later (after 7 when the doors were just opening) and that I got a fairly good standing place on the floor.
I was not happy to have to stand for almost an hour and a half (the show did not begin until after the techs had checked the equipment - which was at 8:17 when on the ticket it was stated the show would start promptly at 8 p.m.) amidst a bunch of chattering weeaboos and some fucking idiot with a backpack that kept flailing around like he had a mixture of ADD and epilepsy.
I suppose at every concert there are morons like these, but since I spent at least half of my time or more fighting off faggots trying to cut in front of me or slapping people off of me when they chose to be ignorant of my personal space, I'd say it was one of the least enjoyable experiences I've ever had. I've been to 3 other Diru concerts that were more packed than this and people were nicer about space. I realize it is a crowded venue and a lot of people want to headbang, but that doesn't mean you shove your fucking elbow into somebody's skull or shove people forwards for your own benefit. I like to headbang along with Kyo's harder songs, but I make a point to try and be courteous of other people.
Also, I don't give a damn if you got there late and you wanted to get a front row view of Kyo - if you get stuck behind me you better goddamn stay there. Some fat bitch and her loudmouth friends kept talking shit about how awesome they are at getting to the front of Diru concerts and then proceeded to try and force their way through me by prying me aside forcefully when the concert started. Needless to say, I wasn't having any of their bullshit and didn't let them through. It's rude to shove, and I don't give a damn if Jesus is on stage, if you got screwed out of a nice spot, oh well, there's always another concert that you can camp out for. I didn't try to maul somebody to get to the front and I still had a great view of Kyo from the middle of the floor, so there's nothing to fight about.
As usual, the fangirls were what ruined this concert. Dir en grey is a wonderful live band, but hearing all the weeaboos scream "DAISUKE" or other stupid shit about raping Kyo was really fucking annoying. I think this might be the last Diru concert I go to considering that I spent more time trying to protect my body parts from fat wapanese girls screaming for Die or Toshiya to spit on them than actually enjoying the music.
