In order to meet Hawaii’s need to keep youth off the streets during times of financial educational cut-backs, Mrs. Fong designed and dedicated a program for the youth of Kalihi every other Friday. She created ‘Furlough Fridays at Kalihi Union Church’ to give the youth a place to have fun, learn and stay safe. Parents drop off their children as if they were still attending school and they stay until their parents pick them up. And today, we were there to assist her on the first day of our Hawaii Tour, November 6th, 2009.  We played games with the children and encouraged teamwork and unity. They had a great time and so did we! Many thanks to friend, Pastor Kendal for blessings us with the opportunity work with the youth and for blessing us with a roof over our heads!
