The Innocence Mission

I saw you at Creation for the first time when I was 14 yrs old and was instantly struck. I got your demo record there - I forget what it was called now, but it had Amy Grants "Shadows" on it. I am now 35 years old and after all these years, you all are still one of my all time favorite bands!

Years ago, you were plying in Northern Va. My husband wanted us to go, but we couldn't manage 4 tickets for our children to come with us. My husband wrote to you and y'all put us on the guest list. I said thanks then, but thanks again. If our lives had a soundtrack to follow our crazy topography, it would undoubtedly be The Innocence Mission on endless rotation.

i saw you live at the iron horse in northampton and it was the first time i not only got goosebumps from a concert but tears as well. when my husband died last year i chose several of your songs to play at his funeral such as 'when mac was swimming' and 'it is well with my soul' (among others) because they were so powerful and uplifting. i wish you'd come back to the iron horse! valerie
