Sebadoh is great; they have what every great music act purviews: bombs-away rockin' out anthems and tender (but not cheesey) ballads, tossed-in with some good old fashioned feedback and noise for good measure.
ROCK ON SEBADOH
ps I had always heard that their name was nonsense, just a word that meant nothing, yet sounded significant. I agree, aptly named.

i like sebadoh because i find their songs to be enjoyable. i think its actually quite snobbish to just flat-out say that sebadoh isn't a real band, but is merely a copy-cat of dinasaur jr. (a band lou barlow was in, so duh) and pavement (a band that was established AFTER sebadoh). sebadoh is sebadoh there is no need to try and pinpoint them as anything else.

Sebadoh is equal parts Dinosaur Jr. and Pavement... and I agree, if you listen to Sebadoh you're an indie snob.
