Summer is here, the long academic school year has finally come to a close, students are strutting across stages in gowns and silly caps with tassels. Beach towels, sunscreen and flip flops are EVERYWHERE. And I'm laying on my back in the grass in southern California with no shoes or socks on. Isn't life wonderful?

Believe it or not, I've never been to the great state of California until a few days ago. Growing up as a random kid from a small farm town in Minnesota, I NEVER thought I'd see the Golden State until I was a 35 year old dad with awkward cargo shorts and white legs, on a dusty road trip crammed into a sweet minivan with my loving wife and screeching kids on a very "fun" family vacation. Or something of the sort. This is not the case. I feel absolutely blessed to be here and I could never thank God enough for allowing me to do what I do, meet so many of the wonderful people I have met thus far, and for giving me the ability to sit down at the end of the day and thank Him for every opportunity I've been given. I feel like I'm in a dream right now. Woah.

OCEAN EYES - ITUNES AND MORE

I received word this weekend that the kind folks at iTunes would like to release Ocean Eyes quicker than we had initially planned for! In an effort to get the music into everyone's hands before September 1st, iTunes will make Ocean Eyes available exclusively starting July 14th! The album will remain available digitally, exclusively through iTunes through July 27th, and the new release date will be July 28th! I absolutely cannot wait for you to hear it!

I hope you like strawberries! I'm super excited to announce the release of a brand spankin' new track for the month of June! FALL TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT

On the agenda for this coming fall lies a very breezy headline tour along with my good friends Kate Havnevik and Unicorn Kid on the first leg, and The Scene Aesthetic and Brooke Waggoneron the second leg. On a final note, I made it through the first shows supporting Relient K,and it has been an absolutely incredible experience for me. As a HUGE fan, I grew up listening to Relient K records and going to shows so, needless to say, being out on the road with them and having a chance to play a couple tunes of my own every night is more than surreal for me. I've become great friends with Matt Thiessen over the past few months and I'm endlessly honored to be a part of this.

ALWAYS remember to put on clean socks in the morning, occasionally smile/wave at the mailman, and NEVER put ostrich eggs in the microwave or eat Taco Bell directly before going to Six Flags.
