FIRST, we managed to pilfer a couple boxes of the German pressing of THE SUCKER PUNCH SHOW from the European label. In addition to completely a new cover and revisited packaging, the German version includes a second bonus disc SUCKER PUNCHED, the full-length alternate version of the album. SECOND, our friend (and former Lovedrug guitarist) DAVID THOMAS OWEN IVs new solo debut entitled "Solace My King" came out last week. Recorded and engineered by Adam Putman (Bear Colony) at Insomniac Studios, these ten tracks transport the listener to faraway lands where knights protect castle walls, lava spills into streets, and all is rendered into dust. It is a spectral, mystical world one might expect to find sealed within a music box or trapped under the glass of an ash-laden snowglobe. Heavy.
