Dear Mr. Durst, (or why you please should come to Costa Rica...) With this letter I want you to involve into a story you're already involved in but without having noticed anything. It's the story of a boy called Matti and his special relation to his favourite band Limp Bizkit. Since the year of his birth, and even before, little Matti was accustomed to listen to music. This was caused by the fact his mom and also his brother always are music addicts. So he grew up lucky with the sound of U2, Nirvana, Rammstein and so on... Matti truly loved these bands and he obviously still does, but since ever he knew that there existed something bigger in this universe, something special he was looking for. At the age of 11 he finally discovered it. While switching enter the music channels he suddenly became crazy listening to a special interpretation of the world famous Mission Impossible jingle. Automatically he was attentive to this vibe of this mysterious band named Limp Bizkit. With the first sound getting out of Wes' guitar, connected with Sam's bass he became hypnotized. Otto's drums started and Fred's voice followed finally determined with Lethal’s scratch abilities. Resulting something never felt before broke out of him, just like this. There seemed to be a weird connection between the boy and the sound getting out of the television. He felt like fallen in love for the first time because of a strange warm feeling rising up his stomach which surely wasn't vomit. It was an undeniable love for this kind of music. From one moment to another his life completely changed. Matti didn't just only discovered his own favourite music band, he also discovered himself as a personality. Afterwards he ran into the next supermarket where he always saw the CD collections. But his search for the products of the name of this band, from this moment on was burned in his brain, wasn't successful. So everyday after school he looked for the song on CD in the supermarket or for the video clip at home. Matti developed his first own enthusiasm and initiative just to get again this revolutionary sound to his already addicted ears. And finally his great day arrived and so he could buy his first CD, knowing well it’ll affect an everlasting and immortal fascination inside of him. The “Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavoured Water” followed soon and even if he was still too young to get this marvellous metaphor of the album title, it already reached a classic status in his opinion because it contains, same as Nirvana before, this timeless representative sound of a whole generation. Beginning with the “Intro” and ended with the “Outro” he loved every second on this long player. A wave of perfection and understanding rolled over him so that he bought from this on every available pre- and post-released disc of Limp Bizkit. And after looking almost a year for a red NY New Era Cap he finally got it and climbed satisfied his Olympus of coolness. Every magazine was bought by Matti if it just contained a two-liner or any information about you or one of the other members. He stood awake to see you guys winning at the MTV EMAs in Frankfurt and always loved it to see you entering the music charts earning the success and fame for your unique work, celebrating it like it was his personal success. Causing that he obviously was the happiest boy in the world, when his brother called him one day to invite him to see his heroes live in action. For the first time he visited his big brother and automatically noticed the special mood of Berlin fulfilling the last hours of his most exciting day ever. In the night before the grand day his brother suddenly wanted Matti to look up for the repetition time of a late night show in the videotext. But the first news he read was that Limp Bizkit cancelled their last two German gigs. Everything became totally quiet. With a huge rock in his throat Matti told the news to his brother and his sadness fasten became depression. Surely Matti never blamed you for your back problems because obviously health is a gift, but for the first time he wanted to die right here and now. This emptiness made his world broke into pieces and in this moment nothing could have calmed him down. The never even expected nightmare became reality when the band's dissolution was announced. But to himself Limp Bizkit never really died. That was impossible. It's the band of his childhood, the sound of his life. Later on, Mike Smith joined the band and the Bizkit suddenly came to Europe. Matti of course curiously followed your London concert on MTV and there was it again: Same enthusiastic boy, same living-room and this amazing sound of Limp Bizkit. He informed his brother and some weeks later they went to the “Terremoto Festival” near Cologne. This weird strain filled his body again and just until the first words from you on stage he couldn't believe that finally his time had come. Finally he and the band united in one and the same place. So when the vibe entered his body there was nothing left to loose and pure ecstasy erupted. The smallest person with the loudest voice jumped the highest and felt this endless power to make his special experience never stop. Totally surprising, Fred Durst appeared suddenly right in front of him. Perhaps not even two meters distance between them both. The following cover of “Behind Blue Eyes” Matti enjoyed as if it was his private concert while his brother pushed his little ass up to get as fast as possible to his idol. Even if he didn't touch him he rocked his little ass off for his outrageous moment which even became better when he found the “Results May Vary” cover flyer on the ground after the concert. With this enormous plaster over his ugly scared soul from the Berlin experience Matti finally fell asleep as the happiest boy on this planet, dreaming about his heart which still flew over the concert area. Years passed and the little dreamer became lost as the band itself. It certainly seemed as a great period of depression for Limp Bizkit fans. But even if he never really lost the grain of hope for a final reunion and with the release of “The Unquestionable Truth, Part I” exactly this was supported, Matti just ended up disappointed after the next separation. Even if he always thought that compared to other phenomenon, the Limp Bizkit chapter in the history of this planet wasn’t really finished. Meanwhile Matti's personality changed completely and he found himself again with the sound of Nirvana, which hadn’t really support his sad situation. But something cared about him so an angel named Elizabeth came into his senseless life. This shining star made the long way from Costa Rica to get right into his class room, changing his perception of life forever. She needed to return to her country and Matti never gave her up, feeling exactly he found his soul mate. So the three hardest years of his life filled with patience and strength followed in which he never wasted one second in thinking he wasn't doing the right thing by listening to his heart. Finally during the New Year’s night Matti left everything behind to start his new life with Elizabeth in Costa Rica. Just one month after leaving good old Germany he entered the new launched Limp Bizkit website and what he read there seemed unbelievable. His favourite band announced their so long expected reunification including a world tour and a new album. The world seemed to be upside down. Two completely different grown up teenagers from the other ends of this world found each other and made the unexpected possible and just after they're united after so much time, the Limp Bizkit members follow their hearts and come back. I saw your show at “Rock am Ring” on the internet and I can only please you with all my love I got to visit Costa Rica one day to give your first concert down here. I really know to appreciate seeing you the original line-up one time in my life on stage. P.S.: Love to read your personal twitts about your feelings to Esther.
