Coalesce

COALESCE and IndabaMusic.com have announced the winners for the exclusive remix contest, for the track “Wild Ox Moan” from the band’s brand new album OX. OX recording engineer Ed Rose broke down “Wild Ox Moan” into several stem tracks and using IndabaMusic.com’s online recording software, contest participants rearranged and remixed the track for a chance to win a number of prizes.  The session and stem tracks can still be downloaded here.

The band had this to say about the winners:

"Friends, and fellow artists.  We wanted to let you know what an amazing experience you have made the "Wild Ox Moan" remix for us.  We've never had a situation before ever, where we could turn the layers of our work over to other artists and experience the results almost immediately.  We are so grateful that so many of you participated, and also to Indaba to give a platform to a band like Coalesce.  It was especially interesting to see how many of you handled the multiple off times,  and the challenges to making it flow in that framework.  It was almost impossible to pick a top 5, but we listened to them over and over and finally settled on the posted ones below. Thanks again for putting so much time into this project.  It's one thing to listen to a song, but to rethink it and build it...it just means a lot to us.  Thanks so much."
