We have posted for you a video of a song that I wrote years ago called Master’s Hand.

As I think of this song I can remember so clearly the place in my life that I was when I was writing it.... the song is about struggling through fear to trust God. That His Grace is like a feather bed...It is interesting how as imperfect humans everything is progressive.... struggles, imperfections, fears, insecurities ..... they are like weeds.. you pull them up one week and there they are again the next.

For me, I look back on my struggle with fear and anxiety and can see that God has brought me so far from where I was but it is as easy for me to see how far He still has to take me..In this process, I have found reading my bible, believing the promises that He has given as strengthened me so much but I must say above everything else I believe praying is the most important part of overcoming fear, because when we draw near to God.. He draws near to us.

I read somewhere that fear cannot take root in a thankful heart so I am trying this summer in the midst of gardening and cooking, writing new songs, returning a gazillion emails and doing puzzles on the living room floor with my daughters to be thankful. Thankful for the day that He has given me and all that is within it.

I believe that this is the heart of the scripture... Matthew 6;33

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. each day has enough trouble of it’s own.

I wonder if the other reason for this scripture is that if our mind is on tomorrow and worries of what or will not happen.. we are missing the moment before us. So I pray that we can take the beauty or the pain .. whatever that has been given us and see God’s hand in it. drawing us nearer to Him... and in that place... we have nothing to fear.
