Burl Ives

I had some of his children's albums when I was a kid and just continued to like his music into adulthood. I agree that there is much more to Burl Ives than Christmas music...Ave Maria!!!

Burl Ives movies were great ..along with his music

I grew up on the Lollipop Tree album (back when it was LPs). It's only thanks to Burl that we know all the trad. American folk songs. Just the other day I was thinking of "The Moon is the North Wind's Cookie."

I used to be terrified of the snowman this guy used to play in Rudolph but now I love him..

My mother and father played his songs for me. There was always something about Ives that just exuded kindness. I can't put my finger on it but he seemed like a good man. Froggie Went A'courtin' :)

I wish they would put up more then just his x-mas stuff...he did so much other good work! Goober peas!

I was singing some of his songs at work the other day and no one know who i was talking about....I love his music, my dad use to play it when i was a kid...
