Hey Lavette....saw you on Austin City Limits...I bow to thee....really now....you are the coolest happening thing....what more can I say !!!!

Was fortunate to attend the Austin City Limits taping. I went to see 95-year old blueman Pinetop Perkins perform, and was glad I stayed for Bettye's booty-ki... More... Was fortunate to attend the Austin City Limits taping. I went to see 95-year old blueman Pinetop Perkins perform, and was glad I stayed for Bettye's booty-kicking show! This woman (and her phenomenal band) was unbeatable. It was inspiring how her band didn't try to copy Drive By Truckers (BL's studio band), but captured their own dynamic soulful sounds as a three piece. Chatting with the guitarist and bassist after the performance proved how down-to-earth these monster talents are. No need to BS attitude when you've got the goods, and Bettye LaVette and her band brought it!
