Want to eat out tonight but not sure where to go? iEat can help!

iEAT allows you to search for, rate and compare restaurants with friends. You can build lists of your favorite eateries, tell your friends where you plan on eating tonight, and even organize your own dining events.

Want to try that trendy new restaurant in town? See which of your friends are also interested…

Planning a big night out at your favorite sushi spot? Send out invites and communicate with your friends through our Lets Eat function…

Whether you want to build a list of your favorite places to go or just want to let people know about that over-rated and over-priced seafood buffet down the street, this is the place to do it. Don’t see the restaurant you’re looking for? Simply add it, and it will be instantly stored into our database for you and future users. This wiki-like function gives us the ability to better fit your needs as time progresses and improves our search the more you enter. You can even upload your own photos!

iEAT is much more than another restaurant review application. Magellan Press is the publisher of Where The Locals Eat: The 100 Best Restaurants in the Top 50 Cities, a national guidebook with a reputation for providing top local restaurant picks. iEat gives you recommendations for the 100 best restaurants in the top 50 cities in the U.S. in addition to letting you add your own input.

Until then...Get to eating!

The reviews and ratings are only as accurate as the people who use them, but the BEST thing about iEat is that you're not forced to spam your friends to get them to sign-up. I only spam them because this app is cool. The interface to add/edit restaurants can be a little cumbersome, but as more people sign-up and add restaurants not on here, the rating process will get easier!

Yes you can add a restaurant although it is not "out in the open".

The way that you do it is first search for the restaurant you want.
If you don't see the restaurant you want you have the option in the search dialog box (at the bottom) to search the internet for your restaurant. This will then show you the list of restaurant closely match the restaurant name you typed in that are on the internet (i.e. google, yahoo, live search engines). Now, if in this list you do not see your restaurant again at the bottom you should have the option now to "Add Your Own Restaurant". Hope this helps.

I cannot figure out how to add a restaurant so it shows up for other people. I do not see any restaurants of my kind (raw vegan), so I think I should be able to add some, but I cannot seem to pull it off.

Always remember that if the search returns "No Results, Click here to Search the Internet" you need to click the link! It will perform ONE MORE search, and THEN if your restaurant does not show, you may add it! :)
