Selah Development S.A., a Canada corporation ("Selah", "we", "us", or "our") acknowledges the concerns that you may have about the use of information about you. Out of respect for those concerns, we maintain strict policies to ensure the privacy and security of your personal information that we may collect through your use of Honesty Box.

Unless defined herein and except for "Agreement" which means this document, defined terms (capitalized words) used in this policy are defined elsewhere in Honesty Box's Terms of Use. Any general terms and conditions for the enforcement and application of this Policy (e.g., Governing Law, etc.) may also be found our Terms of Use.

According to the Developer Terms of Service and Facebook Privacy Policy, we will at all times respect and abide by your Facebook privacy settings. However, this Agreement is our own set of privacy policies and principles and where these policies differ from Facebook's Privacy Policy (not your privacy settings), the policies contained in this Agreement control your use of Honesty Box and its services and features.

Personal Facebook Information

Although Honesty Box is a service designed to facilitate the sending and receiving of anonymous messages, Facebook may provide us with the following pieces of information about you that you have provided to Facebook (collectively, "Facebook Site Information"):

In addition, you may, knowingly or not, provide us with personal information, including contact information, when sending questions, comments or concerns solely to us about Honesty Box, including your user ID, name and e-mail address (together with the Facebook Site Information, "Personal Information"). This Personal Information is collected solely to facilitate and improve Honesty Box, and will never be released to another User, individual, entity or the public, except as provided for herein.

Any Content you send or otherwise make available yourself through use of Honesty Box, its services or features, including but not limited to, sending messages to other Users or posting comments on the Honesty Box Web Site, is done so at your own risk. We cannot control the actions of other Users with whom you may chose to share any information. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that Content you send or otherwise make available will not be viewed by unauthorized persons.

It is our strict policy not to publish or otherwise release the content of messages sent between Users or the identity of the Users, except as provided for in this Agreement and our Terms of Use.

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the Personal Information, both during transmission and once we receive it. However, though we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Therefore, we are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or other security measures, whether our own or Facebook's. Users benefit from allowing us access to Personal Information through being able to:

  • Send messages to other members;
  • Receive uninhibited and generally completely honest anonymous messages from other Users; and
  • Reply to such messages.

Other Information Collection and Use

In order to better serve our Users, we also may record limited, non-personally identifiable information reported by your browser as you use Honesty Box or the Honesty Box Web Site. This may include: IP address, browser type, time and date of use, and any activity performed while using Honesty Box and/or its services or features, or the Honesty Box Web Site. The Honesty Box Web Site may record the Web site that referred you to the Honesty Box Web Site, but otherwise we do not gather information about Web pages you have visited before or after visiting the Honesty Box Web Site.

We may aggregate subsets of non-personally identifiable customer data for the purpose of understanding our User base, determining how we may serve you better, and enhancing the services that we can provide you.

Access to Personally Identifiable Information

If you no longer desire to use Honesty Box or its services or features as a User, you may remove Honesty Box from your Facebook account. Once you have removed Honesty Box, however, no Content created by you or Personal Information given to us is deleted. This allows you to pick up where you left off if you remove Honesty Box and decide to re-add Honesty Box later. In addition, you may revoke or modify your permission for Facebook to provide any of the above Facebook Site Information to us at any time through the means provided in your privacy settings.

Confidentiality of Personally Identifiable Information

Except in connection with our sale or liquidation, we will not sell, rent, license or otherwise share your Personal Information that you submit to us in the context of sending questions, comments or concerns solely to us about Honesty Box or that Facebook has provided us in accordance with the Facebook Platform Application Terms of Use.

Information, including Personal Information, that you provide at your discretion to public fora through use of Honesty Box or the Honesty Box Web Site, are deemed intended for disclosure and cannot be kept confidential.

Information, including Personal Information, that you provide at your discretion in messages with Users through use of Honesty Box are kept strictly confidential by us, as more specifically detailed in this Agreement and the Terms of Use; however your intended recipient is not required to, and may choose not to keep this information private.

Please use discretion when posting any personal information - make sure that it is accurate and not intended to embarrass, or to wrongly harm anyone's reputation. Don't post any information that you wouldn't want posted about yourself.

Third-Party Advertisers

Selah allows other companies that are presenting advertisements on the Honesty Box Web Site to set and access their cookies on your computer. Other companies' use of their cookies is subject to their own privacy policies, not this one. Advertisers or other companies do not have access to Selah's cookies, if any.

Third Party Service Providers

Selah may use other parties to provide us with information regarding our customers' activities on the Honesty Box Web Site. They may set cookies on our behalf and receive information about your browsing activity on the Honesty Box Web Site. Additionally, using such a service, we may store personally identifiable information that you have provided to us, such as your name and e-mail address. We pledge that we will obtain the commitment from any such third party not to sell or make available any of your Personal Information to other third parties, or use it themselves to market products and services not related to the Honesty Box Web Site.

Disclosures under Law

While we make every effort to preserve User privacy, we also intend to cooperate with legal authorities. Therefore, we may be required to disclose User information pursuant to lawful requests, such as subpoenas, court orders or legal process served on Selah, or in compliance with applicable laws. We do not reveal any information, pursuant to such types of lawful requests, until we have a good faith belief that an information request by law enforcement or private litigants meets applicable legal standards. Additionally, we may share account or other information when we believe it is necessary to comply with applicable laws, to protect our interests or property, to prevent fraud or other illegal activity perpetrated through Honesty Box or its services or features or through using the Honesty Box or Selah names, or to prevent imminent bodily harm. This may include sharing information with other companies, lawyers, agents or government agencies.

Children

The services of Honesty Box are prohibited for children under the age of 13. You may not submit information, whether by message or by posting to the Honesty Box Web Site, about yourself or any other child using Honesty Box if you are under 13, and, if you do, Selah reserves the right to remove any such information from its service at its own discretion.

Sharing of Public Honesty Box Web Site Information

All information that is contributed by our Users to the Honesty Box Web Site public comments area will be available to us and anyone with a Facebook account, whether or not they have added Honesty Box.

Terms of Use, Notices and Amendments

Your use of Honesty Box, and any disputes arising from it, is subject to this Privacy Policy as well as our Terms of Use and all of its dispute resolution provisions.

We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy and any other Honesty Box guidelines at any time. Any such modification will become effective immediately upon posting. You will be responsible to check this Agreement from time to time to see if there are any changes to that might affect your use. Continued use of Honesty Box after any such change will constitute acceptance of all changes. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy as it may be amended, you must immediately terminate your use of Honesty Box.
