Purchasing Facebook Credits
Facebook Credits are a virtual currency you can use to buy virtual goods in any games or apps of the Facebook platform that accept payments. You can buy Facebook Credits directly from within an app using your credit card, PayPal, mobile phone and many other local payment methods.

To check your balance or to buy Facebook Credits for later use in an app, go to the Payments tab in your Account Settings.

Facebook Credits are available for purchase through some games or apps on Facebook. You can purchase Facebook Credits in your preferred currency using a major credit card, PayPal, your mobile phone and many other local payment methods powered by UltimatePay and LiveGamer.

If you try to buy something in a game or app that costs more Facebook Credits than you currently have in your account balance, your Credits balance will be used towards the cost of the item and you will be prompted to purchase more Credits, which will be charged to your selected payment method.

The following example might clarify how in-game purchases work:

  • You want to buy 25 Cafe Cash, priced $5.70 USD (57 Facebook Credits when paying with credit card or PayPal).
  • You have a value of $1.10 USD (11 Facebook Credits) as part of your Facebook account balance.
  • You need to pay $4.60 USD (46 Facebook Credits) to complete your purchase.

To see a list of available currencies, go to the Payments tab and click "change" next to "Preferred Currency." Purchases in non-US currencies are first converted to US dollars using the current exchange rate, then Facebook Credits are added to your account at USD $0.10 each.

Depending on your mobile carrier and your country, the mobile payment option may only be available for purchases under USD $10.00 of Credits.

Note: when you add a credit card to your account, Facebook makes a small temporary charge to validate your credit card. This charge should disappear from your credit card statement within three to five business days.

To change the preferred currency of your account, go to the Payments tab, click on the "Edit" link and select your desired local currency from the drop-down menu. Your local currency will be used to display prices and charge your funding source.

If you pay with a mobile phone, prices will be displayed in the local currency of the country you select when making the purchase.

Any purchase of Facebook Credits using a non-US currency is first converted into US dollars using a daily exchange rate and then exchanged for Facebook credits at the rate of 1 credit for $.10 USD.

Using Facebook Credits
Facebook Credits are available when you use games and apps on your desktop or mobile device.

All purchases of virtual goods or currency packages are powered by Facebook Credits. This means that when you buy an item within a game, you will actually be purchasing Facebook Credits which will then be automatically converted to your desired in-game item.

Now, all games accept Facebook Credits to pay for their virtual goods or currency packages. You can check your Facebook Credits balance in the Payments tab of your account.

In order to use your existing Facebook Credits (Account Balance) in your desired game, please follow the steps listed below:

  1. Open up the app you want to use your account balance in.
  2. Select the in-game currency package or item you would like to purchase.
  3. Click "Continue".
  4. If you have a sufficient account balance to make the purchase, click "Buy" to complete it.

  5. If your account balance is insufficient to make your purchase, you will see how many additional funds you need in order to complete the purchase. Select which payment method you would like to buy the required Facebook Credits with and complete the transaction by clicking the "Buy" button.

If you would like to view your current Facebook Credits balance, go to the Payments tab of your Account Settings.
