Our 'Highest Unique Bid'auctions offer an opportunity for you to lay your hands on a $250 Gas Card for under $20 by entering the successful bid.

Here's how it works:

As an Gas Card Auctions member you can bid on Exxon Mobile Cash Cards which are auctioned continuously. Each auction has a bidding ceiling which is always set lower than $20. This means that your bid can never be higher than $20.
If your unique bid is the highest at the moment the auction closes, you are the successful bidder.  
If the script that is running the auction determines after an auction has closed that your bid bid of $2.35 was the highest unique bid for that auction and the value of the Cash Card was $250, you would have secured a $250 Cash Card and only have to pay $2.35 for it, plus the admin fee for that auction.

Each auction is subject to increments at which bids can be entered. When the increment is set at say 5 cents, it means that you can enter a 5 cents bid, and go up by 5 cents increments to 10 cents, 15 cents, 20 cents etc. - all the way to $20.

Any bid entered that is not within the increments ia automatically refused. Eg. when the increment is set at 5 cents, you cannot enter a 7 cent bid.

Each auction can only accept a certain pre-set number of bids which is disclosed at the start of the auction. Let's say this number is set at 220. The auction will close automatically as soon as 220 bids have been entered and the script instantly calculates which bid is the highest UNIQUE bid.

An admin fee will apply to every bid you enter. Fees can vary between $1.00 to $3.00 depending on the value of the auctioned item and will be disclosed at the start of each auction. When you enter a bid, only the admin fee will be deducted from your account balance. NOT the bid itself.

You don't pay for your bid until it has been successful as the highest unique bid.
