General
This is my first time. What is (fluff)Racing?
Welcome to the exciting world of (fluff)Racing! Please carefully read through all the following information. (fluff)Races are easy to learn, but if properly mastered, you may potentially win huge payouts!
Each (fluff)Race is a 10 Flufflong footrace comprised of Six racers - your own (fluff)Friend, and Five (fluff)Friends selected at random from among your Facebook friends. For each racer, we display various stats that will help you to choose how to bet: Speed, Mood, and Race History.
Speed
Speed is the most important factor in determining the winner of a (fluff)Race. Speed is the maximum footspeed of a (fluff)Friend.
Much like a champion racehorse feasts on fine oats before the Derby, a (fluff)Friend's Speed is primarily influenced by the (fluff)Foods in your Fluff's diet. Put simply, a well-fed (fluff)Friend will run faster. You will have to experiment to find the (fluff)Foods that contribute best to your Fluff's Speed.
Speed is measured in fph - Flufflongs Per Hour. Some say a flufflong is roughly the same as a furlong, but no one knows for sure.
Mood
As you'd expect, even the fastest (fluff)Friends won't stand a chance at winning if they aren't in a good mood. While Speed is ultimately the most important factor in determining a winner, Mood is the 2nd most important factor and must not be forgotten.
It would be a mistake to assume that the (fluff)Friend with the highest speed and the best mood will always win the race. While they are certainly more likely to win, the other (fluff)Friends won't give up that easily. Expect some healthy competition every time!
How the winner is determined
(fluff)Races strive to be as fun and fair as possible. Sometimes your (fluff)Friend may lose to a Fluff with a much lower FPH. Here's how it works:
Let's say there is one (fluff)Friend named Tottle with a speed of 20 fph, and another (fluff)Friend named Dragoon with a speed of 100 fph. Dragoon is five times as fast as Tottle, so Dragoon is also roughly five times more likely to win the race than Tottle. However, Tottle still has a chance of getting lucky, and roughly one out of every six races, Tottle may take the lead!
Note that the above scenario does not take into account mood, which is another important factor for determining the winner. However, the basic idea is the same, and you should always be prepared for some random fun!
Race History
We display some basic history about how each (fluff)Friend has fared in previous races. You can click the "show all" link to expand and see more details about each fluff's past races.
Although some superstitious folks believe in "winning streaks", there's no hard evidence that past performance in any way influences future outcomes.
What if less than five of my friends have adopted (fluff)Friends?
Each (fluff)Race requires six fluffs. If less than five of your friends have adopted (fluff)Friends, you can still bet on races, but we have to fill in the remaining spots with Generic (fluff)Friends who don't have an owner. These fluffs generally aren't very speedy, nor do they keep a record of their race history, so it would be more fun if at least five of your friends have adopted a (fluff)Friend.
If you would like, you may click here to invite your friends to adopt a (fluff)Friend.
My Fluff's Race History shows way more races than I'd expect. What's going on?
Remember: A (fluff)Race consists of 6 randomly chosen (fluff)Friends taken from among your Facebook friends.
This means that any time your friends bet on a (fluff)Race, your Fluff may be one of the racers.
Every race that includes your Fluff, whether or not you are owner actually betting on the race, will contribute to your Fluff's Race History.
Betting
How do I place a bet?
Simply fill in the box with the amount of munny you wish to bet on a particular outcome. After you have placed all your bets, click the large Let's Race button at the bottom to start the race.
For any given race, you must place at least one bet, but you may place as many different bets as you would like.
The minimum amount of any particular bet is 5 munny, and the maximum is 100.
What is a Top One bet?
A simple bet commonly known as a "Win Bet". In this type of bet, you pick the one (fluff)Friend who you would like to win the race. If this fluff wins, you win!
What is a Top Two bet?
Top Two bets are more interesting and challenging than Top One bets, and provide greater opportunities to win munny! You can certainly enjoy (fluff)Races without ever dabbling in Top Two betting, but it is worthwhile to learn what they are all about.
In a Top Two bet, you bet on the two (fluff)Friends who will come in first and second place. Note that it does not matter who comes in first and who comes in second: So long these two fluffs finish in the top two places, you win.
For those of you familiar with horse racing, a Top Two bet is commonly known as a "Quinella"
Because it can be more difficult to select the Top Two from all the possible combinations, the potential winnings for this type of bet are sometimes much greater than in Top-One bets! Here is an example:

How much will I win?
The amount you win depends on the "odds", which is a measure of how likely the outcome is. Next to every bet, we list the odds. The odds range from things with poor odds, like "Near Impossible" and "Highly Unlikely", to things with great odds, like "Quite Likely" and "A sure thing".
(fluff)Friends with a high speed and a great mood have the best chance of winning, so they have the highest odds. Because these fluffs are much more likely to win, if you bet on them, your payout will not be very much munny.
On the other hand, (fluff)Friends with a low speed will have very poor odds. It is unlikely that these fluffs will win, and thus, if you bet on them and they DO end up winning, your payout will be far greater!
After every race, the outcome will be displayed, along with the amount you would have won if you had picked the winning bets. See the example in the image above: Whether or not you win the bet, you will see what the "Payout" would have been.
See your Payout before you bet
Want to know how much your (fluff)Race bet is going to be worth? Now we show you exactly what the payout would be for each and every Top One and Top Two bet.

So you can form a more intelligent betting strategy, or just Imagine the Possibilities =)

Special "10 Wins" Bonus
How do I win a Special Bonus?
There are advantages to training your own Fluff to be a winner. For every 10 races that your Fluff wins, you are eligible to receive a special bonus!
Note that you must come to the (fluff)Race to collect your prize - if another 10 wins pass and you do not collect your prize, it will be forfeit. Here's an example: If your (fluff)Friend has won 55 races, you are eligible for the "50 Wins Special Bonus". However, if the next time you actually come visit the (fluff)Race is after your Fluff has won 65 races, you will instead receive the "60 Wins special bonus", and the 50 wins bonus will be forfeit.
Updated! In the past, Special Racing Bonuses were always (fluff)Foods. Now, they are always random, and can be (fluff)Foods, Habitats, Minis, Decorations, Munny, or even DecoFood Tickets to transform Foods into Decorations!
Remember: Because your Fluff can race in other friend's races, the more friends you have doing (fluff)Races, the more likely it is that your Fluff will win races! So even if you rarely bet on (fluff)Races yourself, you can still come collect special bonuses!
Races with my friends' (fluff)Friends
How do I race with one of my friends' (fluff)Friends?
On every (fluff)Book profile page, there is "Race" button you can click to race with that (fluff)Friend.
You can also simply go to the (fluff)Race Challenge Finder to quickly find the friends you can do a Bonus Challenge with.
What are (fluff)Race Bonus Challenges?
Now there's a new way to Earn Munny - (fluff)Race Bonus Challenges! When you Challenge another (fluff)Friend to a Race, if you win, you will earn 10 munny. If you do not win, you will receive a free (fluff)Ade Energy Drink as a consolation prize.
There are limits to Bonus Challenges - Just like petting, you can only Bonus Challenge any particular (fluff)Friend once every 24 hours. The (fluff)Race Challenge Finder makes it very easy to find exactly which friends you can Bonus Challenge!
The (fluff)Race Pro Shop!
There's a new way for avid (fluff)Racers to win Rewards - each time you do a (fluff)Race Challenge with anyone else, you earn (fluff)Race Challenge Points which can be traded in for Medals and more in the (fluff)Race Pro Shop. Here is how it works:
- If you initiate a Challenge and you win, you earn 5 points.
