General
I adopted a (fluff)Friend. Why can't I see my friend on my profile?
First, make sure you have added the (fluff)Friends application. Click the "edit applications" link in your left nav to go to the
"Edit my Applications" page and see if (fluff)Friends shows up in the list of applications you have added.
Second, make sure your privacy settings for (fluff)Friends allow it to show up. Click "Edit Settings" for (fluff)Friends on the "Edit my Applications"
page and make sure it's NOT set to "No one".
Lastly, if you have done all these things, then there might have been an error in the adoption process. Try adopting your (fluff)Friend again.
If everything is working, your (fluff)Friend should appear on your Facebook profile, along with buttons to "Pet Me" and "Feed Me". It may appear all the way at the bottom (below your (fluff)Space), so make sure to check your whole profile.
How can I invite my friends to adopt a (fluff)Friend?
Click on "Invite" link at the top, or just click here to invite your friends.
I love Fluff! How can I get more?
We're happy you like Fluff! Maybe you'd be interested in buying a t-shirt with a (fluff)Friend to help us out? :)
Can you add a zebra/hippo/snake/insert-favorite-animal-here?
You can vote for the animal you would like to see next in the (fluff)Forum. Keep those suggestions coming!
Julie (the resident artist) is trying to draw as many (fluff)Friends as she can, so please be patient.
I can't choose! Why can't I add more than one (fluff)Friend?
Well, the first reason is that applications like (fluff)Friends can only have one box on a Facebook profile. The second reason is that we want the (fluff)Friend you
choose to be special, and to be deserving of all the pettings your friends give when they visit. Where's the uniqueness if you could adopt every single
type of (fluff)Friend? Also, we don't want to take up tooooo much room on your Facebook profile. :)
Make my (fluff)Friends more interactive! I want to be able to do more with them!
Don't worry, we've got plenty of cool ideas in store. (Now all we need is some more time to make them all happen!) Stay tuned and come back to your (fluff)Friend page often
to see what's new!
Things look OK on (fluff)Book, but images are missing/broken on my Facebook profile.
There are some issues recently where everything looks fine on your (fluff)Book profile, but then when you look at your Facebook profile, some of the images are not loading properly (e.g. Minis or Decorations are missing or have a "black box" around them)
We have created an automated tool that will attempt to correct this problem. If you have this issue, simply click the link and follow the instructions, thanks!
I no longer want my (fluff)Friend. How do I remove it?
We understand that (fluff)Friends is not for everyone. If you simply want to remove the (fluff)Friends application, please read this general Facebook help page: http://www.facebook.com/help.php?page=25. We're sorry to see you go.
(fluff)Book
I had HTML on my (fluff)Book info, but it no longer works! What happened?
The ability to add HTML to your (fluff)Book info was actually a bug, not a feature. Unfortunately, this "bug/feature" had to be removed, for a few reasons:
- It allowed users to get themselves into a broken state where their (fluff)Book would no longer function!
- It opened up a security hole which threatened the safety and privacy of our users (e.g. hackers stealing your Facebook password, installing viruses, or worse...)
Sometimes when I visit a (fluff)Book profile, I cannot click on the links in the "Friends" sections to go to other friends' (fluff)Book profiles. What's going on?
In order to respect Facebook privacy settings, in the "Friends" section of a (fluff)Book profile underneath the "Pet" and "Feed" buttons, you can only click the link to go to someone else's (fluff)Book profile page if the Fluff's owner is either one of your Facebook friends, or the owner is in one of your Facebook networks.
Petting
My (fluff)Friend isn't in a good mood. How do I make it happy?
(fluff)Friends won't just entertain themselves... they like to be petted! There should be a "Pet me!" button next
to your (fluff)Friend on your profile and on your (fluff)Book
Petting is a social interaction, so when you're on a friend's profile,
be sure to pet their (fluff)friend and they'll return the favor, thus keeping both your fluffs in a good mood.
Can I change my privacy settings to that people cannot see who recently petted my Fluff?
Yes, go to the (fluff)Friends Privacy Settings. You should see an option
to either show or hide petters on your profile. If you want to show recent petters, make sure that option says "Show petters on my profile: YES."
Why do some people see a scary popup message when they try to pet my friend about how their information will be sent to a third-party? Who is this third party?
This message is generated by Facebook because your friend has not added the (fluff)Friends application, and is safety measure to make sure
nobody interacts with an application if they don't want to. The "third party" they are referring to is the (fluff)Friends application. Don't worry,
(fluff)Friends isn't using any of their information.
Some people who pet my (fluff)Friend are not showing up on my profile.
We only show people in your "recent petters" if they have adopted a (fluff)Friend of their own. Encourage them to adopt a (fluff)Friend of their own!
How come my (fluff)Friend's number of pets decreased?
Remember, these are "recent number of pets," not "number of pets overall." If you pet your (fluff)Friend a lot at first but then never pet it again, you can't
expect it to remain happy forever, right? :)
Petting lasts for 30 days. A petting that occurs on Oct 1st will remain until Oct 30th, but on the 31st, that petting will no longer contribute to your total number of petting. The exact same is true for feedings as well.
Habitats
I bought a habitat and it doesn't show up
After buying a habitat, you must set your (fluff)Friend to live there! There is a message displayed at the top of the habitats shop directing you to the (fluff)Editor, where you can set your habitat.
Minis
I bought Minis, but now I don't know where they are! What should I do?
Buying Minis is only the first step! You need to put them into your Habitat along with your (fluff)Friend. To do this, you use the (fluff)Editor! Click here to see a tutorial on how to use the (fluff)Editor, or if you are ready, click here to Use The (fluff)Editor
The (fluff)Editor is linked to from the (fluff)Friends Homepage in the blue box at the top. There is also a link to the (fluff)Editor in the Minis shop.
Can I give a Mini as a gift if it is currently located in my Habitat with my (fluff)Friend?
No, you need to use the (fluff)Editor first to remove the Mini from your Habitat, and then you can give it as a gift.
While using the (fluff)Editor, a Mini got stuck behind my (fluff)Friend and now I cannot move it. Help!
The (fluff)Editor is brand new and we're working to make it better. In the meantime, if you run into this situation, you can follow these simple steps to fix things:
- Under the "Minis" tab in the bottom left, click on the (fluff)Mini you want to select. As soon as you click on it, it will be selected.
- Click the large "X" on the right hand side, which will remove the Mini from your Habitat.
- Under the "Minis" tab again, click on the (fluff)Mini again. Now it will appear in the default location, and you can move it anywhere you like!
There's a bug - something is broken with Minis or the (fluff)Editor
If you are experiencing a problem that requires the (fluff)Friends developers to look into it, please submit a very specific and detailed bug report to us using the help for (fluff)Friends page. Although we cannot respond to every inquiry, we thank you for taking the time to send us the error report. If the issue you're experiencing requires further investigation, we will contact you.
Munny
How do I earn Munny?

Feeding
How do I feed a (fluff)Friend?
You have to buy some food at the (fluff)Shop. Once you have food, you simply need to go to the main Facebook profile page of the (fluff)Friend you would like to feed, and click the "Feed Me!" button.
You can also feed a (fluff)Friend on the (fluff)Book profilepage
Feeding (and/or petting) doesn't work! Help! My fluff is hungry!
We've received many reports that some users are unable to feed or pet their (fluff)Friend through their Facebook profile. The most common symptom of this is that you will click the button, and then nothing will happen. The causes, unfortunately, are outside of our control
Thankfully, there is more than one way to feed a (fluff)Friend! Rather than using the profile, just go ahead and visit the (fluff)Book page, which also has "Pet Me" and "Feed Me" buttons.
To get to the (fluff)Book page for your own Fluff, click the "My (fluff)Book" link at the top. To get to a friend's (fluff)Book page, either click on the "More Info" link next to the (fluff)Friend on their Facebook profile, or click on the picture of their adopted Fluff from the main (fluff)Friends home page.
How come my (fluff)Friend's speed has decreased?
Just like petting, feeding does not last forever.
If you feed your (fluff)Friend a lot at first, but then never feed it again, you can't expect it to remain well-fed forever, right? (fluff)Friends aren't too needy, but they do like some (fluff)Foods from time to time :)
For example, a feeding that occurs on Oct 1st will remain until Oct 30th, but on the 31st, that feeding will no longer contribute to your Fluff's total FPH. The exact same is true for petting as well.
My Fluff's FPH went down after I fed it some (fluff)Food. What happened?
As described right above, your (fluff)Friend's FPH is based on (fluff)Food feedings from the past 30 days.
We calculate this value once per day. The "day" begins at Midnight GMT (Greenwich Mean Time), which is 5PM in California, and 8AM in Hong Kong.
So each day, your Fluff will have the same speed all day long. You may increase your Fluff's speed by feeding it (fluff)Food, but it will not decrease during the day once it has already been calculated. The "decrease" (when you lose the speed boost from feedings over 30 days old) will happen the first time you interact with your (fluff)Friend on the new day - this interaction may be visiting the (fluff)Friends Homepage, feeding your Fluff, etc...
You can click the link to "See All Feedings" on the (fluff)Friends Homepage to confirm that all your feedings are indeed accounted for. Rest assured: Your speed never just "goes down," and if it appears to go down after a feeding, we simply hadn't re-computed it since the day passed, so there were feedings from over 30 days ago which are no longer included.
I don't like losing FPH. Why does FPH have to go down?
With pet ownership comes responsibility. Owning a real dog or cat requires a huge level of commitment. Thankfully, (fluff)Friends are quite a bit easier. Fluffs never complain, they never die, and you don't have to clean up their droppings... even if you forget about them for months, they'll keep on doing their best to delight all visitors to your Facebook profile, posing in various surroundings and looking cute. That's pretty nice, all things considered.
However, if you want your Fluff's FPH to remain high, they will need regular feedings. The system for calculating FPH is simple and consistent - a feeding today will contribute to your FPH for 30 days.
So, let's say you want your Fluff's FPH to be around 900. Here are a couple ways you can do it:
- You can feed your Fluff 900 FPH worth of (fluff)Food all at once. This works, but after 30 days, your FPH will drop back down to the original value... if you want to get back to 900 FPH, you'll need another huge feeding frenzy.
- You can feed your Fluff 30 FPH of food every day. After 30 days, your Fluff will have 900 FPH. So long as you keep doing this, each and every day, then without too much effort (only 30 FPH worth of food), you can maintain a champion Fluff with 900 FPH.
