I saw the first one and have no desire to see the sequels. I get some entertainment from reading the plot summaries on Wikipedia, and it is probably more than I'd get from the actual movies.
clever idea, plenty of gore. turns into more of a comedy when watching with a m8.
Follow up horror thriller filled with plenty of ingenious tricks. More people are trapped in nastier places and forced to perform scarier tasks with nastier results. A very good romp.
Not as good as the first one. I kinda had a hard time swallowing that Donnie Wahlberg was a tough over the top cop who pissy that ole jigsaw kidnapped his kid, whom the kid seemed not all that hot about trapped in a room full of convicts. I kinda had a hard time swallowing that Donnie Wahlberg was a tough over the top cop who pissy that ole jigsaw kidnapped his kid, whom the kid seemed not all that hot about trapped in a room full of convicts. The acting sucked, the characters were annoying...except Jigsaw, who was cool and collective as always. But the twist at the end was cool. I guess we can expect more like this in the coming Saw movies as well. I like em!

Critic Reviews
The slaughter in Saw II is pretty much non-stop, but you always see it coming. The movie's not really that scary, just gross in what by now is a fairly routine way.full review
Unable to deliver the single novel concept or unexpected surprise that might justify its existence.full review
Saw II has teeth, and this house-of-horrors franchise has legs, though they're manacled to the radiator.full review
The serpentine plot is logical; the acting is passable and the film creates a palpable atmosphere of paranoia and tension.full review
