what a film, absoloutly ace! laughed all the way thru, bloody brilliant!!!!!!!!!
Amazing movie, just the right combination of stereotypical zombie movie features to make it hilarious and not cheesy.

(read more) Arguably, one of the finest horror comedies of all time is Edgar Wright's Shaun of the Dead. Since its release in '04, there have been a superfluous number of attempts to meet and/or exceed its simplistic genius. Based only on watching the trailers for Zombieland, I thought the film had some serious potential to match Shaun of the Dead in terms of its quality, and possibly, just possibly even usurp it. Now having seen the film, I'm happy to say that Zombieland does just that.
Unlike many comedies in recent memory, in which the majority of laughs are provided solely in the trailer, Zombieland is filled to the brim with laugh-out-loud moments and memorable performances, thanks in large to the brilliant cast. Eisenberg is fantastic as the main protagonist. He manages to portray a sense of vulnerability and awkwardness without becoming too much like Michael Cera. Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin are also terrific as the sweet, yet tough Wichita and the more-mature-than-she-seems Little Rock, respectively.
The real stand-out performance, though, is Woody Harrelson as the Twinkie-lovin', zombie-hatin' Tallahassee. Next to that of Robert Downey Jr. in Iron Man, this is definitely the best comeback performance of the year (and tops the all time best performances of his entire career). There's also a painfully hilarious, yet notable, cameo appearance from Bill Murray that would be a crime to spoil if I say any more. Suffice it to say, this is â hands-down â the best cameo that I've ever seen in a film.
Possibly the most surprising aspect of Zombieland, however, is how much heart there is. It comes not only from the cast of characters, but from the director and film crew as well. They did a bang up job making the audience ultimately feel invested in the story and the characters, which â I think â is the most important thing any film of any genre can do. Between the witty writing, unbelievable acting, and an opening scene which will forever be engrained in my memory (best use of a Metallica song EVER), Zombieland has certainly made its mark in the film industry.
This film has instantly become a horror favorite of mine. Everything about this movie came perfectly together to create a film that will, undoubtedly, become a cult classic for all time.
Really fun, there are parts I just can't believe they pulled off... it was really GREAT!
Loved this movie! Absolutely hilarious and also very scary and suspenseful in places. Great zombie action. Woody Harrelson is brilliant, Jesse Eisenberg is pitch perfect, Emma Stone is... far too young for me. ;)

I desperately want to give it the full five stars because I enjoyed it that much (yes, I'm a very sad person). It's no Oscar winner, but I already want the 2-disc special edition DVD, if you get what I mean.
Sorry but I love zombie films and this takes it to a new level, great kills in this movie

'Zombieland' may be the first undead road-trip movie. The picture is light and unassuming, but it has a jaunty spirit; it's funny beyond the call of genre and - the cool part, of course - wonderfully disgusting.full review
The humor is vicious and the supporting cast is viscous. But underlying the carnage in Zombieland is a sweetly beating heart.full review
An improbably delicious comedy about a quartet of human survivors crossing an America that's been taken over by ravenous hordes. (There's even a Charlie Chaplin zombie working Hollywood Boulevard in front of the Chinese Theater.)full review
Zombieland is a romance, a comedy, a road movie and a freewheeling schlock horrorfest, all in one.full review
What you're ultimately left with is a movie for people who think what they really would like to do tonight is watch zombies.full review
Director Ruben Fleischer mixes fright and slapstick with bloody glee. And the surprise star cameo is a wowser. Enough said.full review
Unlike its spiritual predecessor Shaun of the Dead, Fleischer's film doesn't really get either zombie movies or human relationships.full review
From its inventive opening credits to a surprise cameo and accompanying laugh-riot Ghostbusters homage, the zom-com Zombieland delivers gore and gags in equally satisfying spurts, so to speak.full review
Zombieland makes up in laughter what it lacks in screams, and the arch weariness with which it looks out at undead America hides a frisky yet disturbing message: We're closer than we think.full review
