The stark reality of living in India juxtaposed with the fantastical world depicted on screen suddenly begins to make sense "Luck By Chance" is about a slice of Bollywood life, in which Kismet plays a huge role. Here, notions of superstition, fate and destiny underline every life, as grand desires and opportunity converge to form strange patterns. In such an unpredictable climate, is success and failure what others define for you or is it something you decide for yourself? This is a contemporary tale set in a world desperate to escape its own reality.

The bad - Music sucks, the performances of Juhi Chawla and Rishi Kapoor are jarring, the costumes are really bad. The ugly - Zoya sucks as a director, the story meanders along to the end, there is zero entertainment value. Not even 10% the depth of Rock On. TP only if you've got nothing else to do.
Its a very enjoyable film, very colorfull, filled with happy people, dancing etc. Its just like a Bollywood should be... but in not that into the Bollywood genre, eventhough they are great. beatifull, funny and so on, they just dont catch me.
A great movie, very refreshing and genuine. Farhan and Konkona delivered great performances. The comedy wasn't overdone and the drama was in all the right places.

I love bold Indian films that dare to expose, in such a well-executed and high quality way, the reality behind the glory and flash of Bollywood. As usual, Konkona Sen Sharma joins a great adventure, I greatly appreciated the good work of actors. Awesome film!
A movie based on real life situation that exists in cinema world ( also applicable in other streams too). Good to watch. Pleasing someone for self beneficial reasons works, but are u comfortable in doing so is the question.
It's a light hearted movie that always keeps you interested in knowing what's gonna happen next. The performance, story, screenplay everything was excellent, even the songs were good. Nice way to spend two and a half hours, imho.
This could have been so much better if the script was edited properly. Too long and sprawling, but enjoyed all the film in jokes and cameos.Farhan Akhtar way too old for this role!
The plot was good, but the execution was not gripping!
I was surprised to see Konkana Sen Sharma wasted in this movie and also the climax was over the head! Good that I watched this one at home :-)

Bursting with the usual colorful pop music numbers and lighter-than-a-soap-bubble quandaries, the film is a typical Bollywood entry, not likely to win over many new converts.full review
