A wealthy, retired crime boss, Virgil. He shares a past with the Russian Woman and her betrayal breaks his heart. Furious and paranoid, Virgil cannot trust even his closest associates. So, he enlists a crooked homicide detective, Beck, to track her down before the police get to her.

The story revolves around a Russian mistress (Stana Katic) who decides to get revenge on a ruthless criminal organization. The story has sufficient twists and turns with gratuitous cursing and violence that would keep any undiscerning viewer's attention. The only odd thing I noted was how Stana Katic's character evolves from a cunning killer who uses subterfuge to kill her enemies (with a giant Stiletto) to a straight up ninja type killer who can stalk and kill enemies with a single blow. In fact, she was such an efficient killer at the end, my friend and I kept saying "Damn, we should send her to Afghanistan!"
A decent action flick with familiar faces. I recommend this movie if there are no other action films to rent or your other choice is Terminator III (and you know what I mean). Stiletto has decent looking people, action, and acting. Maybe worth a rental if its a "third" choice.

If you have ever wanted to see him take a belt sander to somebody, this is the movie for you. Also, the movie is noteworthy for really amping up the gorey kills. And Stana Katic has the biggest fucking switchblade I have ever seen. But these are really only 5-second gems in a sea of awful performances and a piss-poor excuse for a 'script'.
Just about holding your interest for this below average action thriller. Good lighting throughout the film tho.
Lots of recongisable actors fail to do much with a weak script and muddled plot. Everything just screams average.
