It was an ok movie. Typical teenage movie...nerdy boy loves popular girl & goes on some type of adventure. The nerd was annoying most of the time. Didn't believe Hayden Panettiere as the popular girl that thinks everyone is below her.
Silly little comedy from chris columbus who hasnt done a good film since the 90's. A nerd loves the prettiest girl in school and they have a crazy day of graduation.
A cute harmless teen comedy with likable male leads. Hayden is easy on the eyes too. Lots of lame moments hurt the film in the end.
This was probably one of the worst teen comedy movies I have seen in a long time. Only good thing about this movie was Hayden Panettiere. She is so super HOT. =}
I actually thoroughly enjoyed I Love You Beth Cooper. Although Chris Columbus could've pushed the bar a little further, he could've made it the most Outrageous Sex Comedy of 2009 (I'll leave it at that just so I don't give anything away), so in that sense it falls flat. But overall, its a lot of fun. Hayden Panettiere is gorgeous in it.
If it weren't for Hayden Panettiere, this movie would be a complete and total waste of time. So, thank you Hayden!
I couldn't even make it through this movie...but the nap was definitely a 4-star one.
Critic Reviews
The charmlessness of its central characters -- Rust's charisma-challenged Denis, Panettiere's Barbie-hard and vacuous Beth -- makes this putative farce all the more difficult to endure.full review
Aiming for the heartfelt hilarity of Superbad, I Love You, Beth Cooper is just super bad.full review
I Love You, Beth Cooper moves along, taking two steps backward into crassness for every clever or just plain sweet moment it offers.full review
If fun is what you're looking for, you might want to avoid I Love You, Beth Cooper, a drab and incoherent teen comedy.full review
The characters lack charm and dimension, falling into stereotypical molds. Joyless scenarios bounce between scenes of driving around town and predictable party mayhem.full review
Panettiere, I'm sad to report, is a dud as the title character, a supposed wild thang who never rises above the level of runty, obnoxious mall chick, down to the roll-on tan.full review
The writer of I Love You, Beth Cooper says the story is based on a dream. I believe him. This is one of the very few movies where I wanted the hero to wake up and discover it was only a dream.full review
