Salesman? Lover? Song Stylist? Semi-professional dolphin trainer? Ready is all of the above--except for a dolphin trainer. When he's asked to help save an ailing local car dealership from bankruptcy, Ready and his ragtag crew descend on the town of Temecula like a pack of coyotes on a basket full of burgers. Selling, drinking, selling and going to strip clubs is their stock and trade. And they do it well. What Don doesn't expect is to fall in love and find his soul (cue heartfelt piano).

Loved this movie. The old war veteran is money. Ving Rhames with the line of the movie, you'll know what it is when you hear it. Ken Jeong also has a great one at the beginning.
Actually not half bad, I saw Ed Helms was in it so I thought I would give it a try, I like to see what he's up to now that he's in movies instead of on the Daily Show. Reallly, one and a half stars is me being nice. It was just such a stupid movie. I lost interest after about 15 minutes. The few laughs that there are were all in the trailer. I lost interest after about 15 minutes. The few laughs that there are were all in the trailer. But I gave it the rating I did because those few laughs were pretty good. Other than that? Bad acting, stupid story, bad everything. It tried too hard to be a stupid funny movie that it failed. How sad.
As a former used car salesman...I appreciated some of this movies humour. But it ran way too long. A decent rental.
Wow. I had no idea this film would be this funny. As a fan of Step Brothers, I can honestly say that "The Goods" is the perfect follow up to one of my most quoted movies ever. As a fan of Step Brothers, I can honestly say that "The Goods" is the perfect follow up to one of my most quoted movies ever. The obscure, off-the-wall, vulgar humour doesn't overstay it's welcome. Little plot is seen here; just enough to make the jokes make sense. I wouldn't recommend this if you prefer more sophisticated humour, but definitely watch it if you love to laugh.

Critic Reviews
The Goods is not without its share of laughs. But the laughs come with contempt and condescension, not empathy.full review
Something about The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard feels forgettable, even though, in the moment, it's often very funny.full review
The movie gores many sacred cows, insulting families, capitalism, sexual responsibility, political correctness and smoking bans, with glee if not originality.full review
The Goods is a cheerfully energetically and very vulgar comedy. If you're okay with that, you may be okay with this film, which contains a lot of laughs and has studied Political Correctness only enough to make a list of groups to offend.full review
