For a Disney feel good movie for Christmas, Old Dogs is just about passable. (read more) For a Disney feel good movie for Christmas, Old Dogs is just about passable. Travolta and Williams can do comedy, but with a plot that is too light and too safe, there is not much they can do to make this movie a true hit. The roles for Travolta's wife (Preston) and daughter (Ella Bleu Travolta), and a bit role for Matt Dillon are excellent. Bernie Mac appears in his last movie before his untimely death. In parts, this movie does bring a smile to your face. But save the movie ticket and wait for the DVD.

It's kind of a funny story. Actually it isn't. And not much in this movie is, unless you like to watch elderly dogs urinate, middle-aged movie stars overact wildly, and Seth Green get hit in the groin by a golf ball.

An often riotously funny slapstick farce that ought to appeal to moviegoers of all ages.

Old Dogs does to the screen what old dogs do to the carpet. It's unfortunate that only the latter can be taken out and shot.

The great thing about comedy these days is that few people are making movies like Old Dogs.

The timing of the comic set-ups is consistently amateurish, as if scenes were edited with hedge clippers, with the actors mugging frantically, waiting for the take to end.
