I like all the actors involved, especially Laura Linney but despite the interesting start it did not captivate me. Antonio is still hot and Liam is super tall but still the movie is only so-so.

Average drama starring Liam Neeson and Antonio Banderas.
Offers nothing new in the genre, with a rather predicatable plot twist/reveal two thirds into the movie. Whatever happened to Mr Banderas, respected in the nineties, but as in the case of Val ... (read more)

The screen version of Bernhard Schlink's short story The Other Man does not deliver. The secret at the heart of the film, after all the fractured narrative convolutions, is anti-climactic, and the conclusion is strained and awkward.

As the pathetic, decent lothario, Banderas lacks sexual threat just as the script's various miscommunications lack Pinter menace. Neeson is too rough-hewn for the conflicted cuckold.
