I enjoyed myself thoroughly during this movie, and the pieces of music were so great.

Great acting from both of them. Steve Lopez, his writing and his pursuit of something he believes in..plus the passion of Nathaniel..really is worth admiring. they help me see life and art in the ordinary. I have paced my movies well :)

Due to the trailer I expected a sappy melodrama of sorts, but in the end this was an incredibly well acted human story. A story that sincerely engaged the perceptions and problems of homelessness. Though it lost some momentum in the second act, this is still a film well-worth a recommendation.

I enjopyed this movie, it was heartfelt and well acted.

In the end, The Soloist isn't about BIG MOMENTS, it's about the grace notes, the kind that stay with you.

The Soloist is pitch-perfect, a sensitive rendering of challenging social and emotional themes.

Tough-minded yet often touching, The Soloist works precisely because it doesn't go where we think it's going to go.

The movie, for all its flaws, reminds us that everyone is worth catching, but it's the actors who best embody that message. They go the full human being.

The Soloist has all the elements of an uplifting drama, except for the uplift. The story is compelling, the actors are in place, but I was never sure what the filmmakers wanted me to feel about it.
