I watched the entire series, and by the last episode i was just glad it ended.
The animation quality was good, the voice acting was average, and the amount of gore is surprisingly bountiful.

The comedy is off putting at times because it can be such a messed up show. Still a great watch. Even if to just see it once.
I want to give this series more stars. I really do. I really, really, really, really do. It was good for quite a bit. In fact, it was rather excellent. However, it goes to shit on the last few episodes.

Gantz is a seriously fucked up show. I'm using this hard language because it's the best way to explain it. Not too mention, I'm speaking like an angelic puppy that farts rainbows compared to the language and violence this series depicts. This show definitely isn't for the squeamish.
I'm not the type of person that needs answers. I don't need something to be spelled out for me. I don't need to have it all wrapped up. What I do need is for the ending or the conclusion of something to "fit" with the tone of the work. This show has an "ending", but it really isn't an ending. This isn't like the Berserk ending, where it led you to read the manga because it was obvious there was more. This ending tried to wrap everything up...it tried to "end it". It isn't an ending. It's a cop out. It basically sets up more questions, and because the series diverted from the anime...you can't continue this arc. You're stuck with what's there. It sucks.
Am I going to start reading it? Probably. Which I guess means the show did it's job. However, the show in and of its self should have been it's own thing. It should have properly ended itself. Full Metal Alchemist managed to do it. It did it rather well, I might add. This ending just blew. It blew hard.
If they decide to make a third season, then I might change my mind. As it stands...it has a shit ending. The last few episodes are shitty.
WOW ! so bloody violent !!! a little confusing but try to use your imagination sm:)es
The premise is quite intriguing, albeit more than a bit confusing, but it suffers under disgustingly explicit violence, and a lack of likable characters. Only Anime I digg ya digg. Transition from anime to big screen would be a guaranteed hit if it's done right.
amazing work, the graphics are brill, very strange ending but still a great watch :D
