Another coming of age story type of movie. I though the interaction between Jimmy Fallon & Lucy Liu was really good. It's not your ordinary kind of couple who would be together for the most part.
Sharon Stone gave a memorable performance but that's about it. Slow moving with really nothing to entertain us with. I just didn't get into this film at all. I ended up spliting it into two viewings to watch it it was that slow and lacking in any bite. Characters are drab and loose.
Overall, a pretty boring movie. I had a bad taste in my mouth about this movie, right from the start..And it ended very disapointly.. And he ended up with the wrong girl in the end, if you ask me!!!
Pretty boring with absolutely no point... Sad childhood made sad man with fear of commitment, which he struggles to overcome. The end.
Just saw the premiere tonight at Eccles. Good one of those comic dramas. It's a stretch at first to think of Jimmy Fallon in a dramatic role, but it's really no different than Zach Braff in Garden State. Fallon holds his own, not flawless but not bad... Liked the characters played by Sharon Stone and Tom Arnold as his neurotic parents. Unfortunately, for every successful comic gag or joke the film pulls off, another one falls flat. Also Stone has this weird green tinge to her skin as she ages. Don't know if that was intentional or what but I don't think it was.
