I was one of the few who followed him from friends to the underated and tragically cancelled "Studio 60". And it was because of his presence that I even considered this film. And while I'd rather see him doing this than just being the "old Zac Efron". I was pretty disappointed. You've seen this kind of dysfunctional family thing done in indie flicks before, so you've probably seen quirkier and crazier characters. the comedy is understated which isn't a bad thing it just seems to be half asleep as well.
If you have a free Sunday afternoon and would lke a story that doesn't ask too much of you pick it up, you may not be moved. But at least you'll get to see Chandler take a shit on someones lawn. And really, isn't that what we're all searching for?
Loved it! The ending was worth sitting through a sort of boring story. Great payoff at the end.
hahaha, grrreat! i've always loved movies like this. nothing really happens, everything is kinda slow but under all that it's mayhem. not to mention how much i love lauren graham and ben foster. ginnifer goodwin is also lovely.

instead of watching fireflies in the garden which also tells the story of a slightly strange family, watch this!
Lots of random moments with Ben Foster walking around the house sans pants, donning tighty whities & head bandage . . . decent movie though with a couple great scenes [& liking the dvd cover art]
I echo what Rocky Cutie said. I rented this movie because Mathew Perry was in it. And Lauren Graham. But this movie was so bad, I didn't even finish watching it. And believe me I made sure I got it back on time so I didn't pay for two nights on this one.
It was boring to follow, but maybe it would have gotten better if I hadn't turned it off halfway through.
