Fast paced, and fun to watch, but I wouldn't call it a masterpiece.
Superb performances from all the cast with brilliant direction and screenplay.
I was slightly disappointed by this. Gets a little boring towards the middle but still is a decent enough film.

In most years he would have been a shoe-in for the Best Actor Oscar. The rest of the movie -- especially Michael Sheen's turn as David Frost -- cannot hold its own against this powerhouse performance. I enjoyed watching the behind-the-scenes developments that led to the interviews, as much as the interviews themselves.
Finally got round to watching this one; great film the interviews were very compelling and Martin Sheen and Frank Langella were both brilliant.

Sure, some dramatic license is taken, but it mostly rings true. The film is equally as hard on Frost as it is on Nixon, thankfully - it's not a total Nixon bash-fest. One of Ron Howard's best. 8/10.

Everything you could want from a true story.
Very nicely done, with great performances from the 2 leads. Didn't plod along as badly as I expected and I especially liked Langella's last scene.
Solid film with a great performance by Frank Langella. I almost felt sorry for Nixon and that's hard to do, It moves along nicely and it's an interesting film.
I knew a very little about the Frost/Nixon interviews before this film, which tells a fasinating story that is genuinely exciting and very evocative of the period. Great performances by all involved, - particularly Michael Sheen, who conveys just what a class act David Frost is (even considering Through the Keyhole).
Critic Reviews
Director Ron Howard, less an artist of film like Van Sant, more a resourceful pro, lays his cloak down for the miraculous script and makes sure everyone can walk with dry feet towards the awards ceremonies.full review
Ron Howard has made his best movie with Frost/Nixon, an electric political drama with a skin-prickling immediacy.full review
Ultimately, Frost/Nixon may be stuck in time -- but, oh, what a time it was.full review
All this makes for great entertainment on the big screen, though the real legacy of the Nixon interviews is more vexing than Morgan would have us understand.full review
The film is mostly talk, but it's sharp, punchy talk, and the picture is sometimes thrilling to watch.full review
An absorbing film replete with telling moments and powerful performances.full review
Despite a cavalcade of talent, Frost/Nixon is a middling thing.full review
When the movie sticks to its central dramatic conflict, it can be spellbinding.full review
Despite a moving, canny incarnation of the man by Frank Langella, despite a slickly entertaining coffee-table production as only Ron Howard knows how, the movie feels cooked up. In the name of dramatizing history, Frost/Nixon sacrifices it.full review
Like Doubt, this week's other stage-to-screen adaptation, director Ron Howard's Frost/Nixon pours old-fashioned theatrical juice into a cinematic bottle and lets the actors drink it up.full review
