It's a gag film where he has to say yes to absolutely every opportunity presented in front of him. The concept alone is worth watching and the movie goes to some places I didn't really think it would in serious mode. There's a lot that can fall flat, but overall the film is very funny and definitely worth checking out. We may never get the Carrey of old ever again - but it's nice to see some shades of the loveable jackass once in a while. Yes Man is that fix that I needed.
THE YES MEN WAS VERY FUNNY AND JIM CARREY WAS VERY FUNNY IN THIS MOVIE. IT HAD ROMAIC AND COMEDY AND JIM CARREY REALLY PULL IT OFF IN THIS MOVIE.

Mooooro!
What if you just said 'yes' to everything? Really. Try it. This cheerful and surprisingly deep comedy made me at least think about it. Jim Carrey will always be Jim Carrey, so you already know if you're going to hate his performance. I loved the film... (read more) What if you just said 'yes' to everything? Really. Try it. This cheerful and surprisingly deep comedy made me at least think about it. Jim Carrey will always be Jim Carrey, so you already know if you're going to hate his performance. I loved the film's intelligence and positivism, and even though it's goofy and cliched, it does try to teach you a nice and simple lesson.
I LOVE THIS MOVOIE AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i <3 THE MOVIE

Very disappointing for a Jim Carrey movie. Started off funny; but started to drag. Jim Carrey is getting old for these movies.

Critic Reviews
Yes Man founders on a weak script and the rock of Carrey's alarmingly subdued shtick. What has happened to the man who used to combine the verbal surrealism of James Joyce with the body movements of St Vitus?full review
Reed takes on a fun, but not exactly brilliant screenplay and turns in a comedy funny enough to while away a couple of pleasant hours this holiday season.full review
There is nothing new or ambitious about Yes Man. It is intended to be a textbook Jim Carrey silly comedy, and honestly, that's just fine by me.full review
There are flat performances in the film, false situations and bad lines, but the laughs are there and the message about personal transformation is timeless.full review
Not far from that of Liar Liar, one of Mr. Carrey's biggest hits of the mid-'90s...That film was a philosophical tour de force compared with this one.full review
With Yes Man, Carrey has bled the well dry, doing everything he knows how to do, over and over again, just to prove that he still knows how to do it.full review
The comedy, to the extent there is any, consists mainly of Carrey's verbal asides and strained reactions to people. The script gives him very little to work with.full review
Yes Man is a typical Carrey vehicle (schematically, it's a lot like Liar Liar), but it's better than most of them due to a top-notch supporting cast.full review
It's nice to see a high-concept comedy with such a generous concept.full review
