Mavis (Minnelli) signs up to teach tap dancin...(read more...) g at a church, but when she’s bombarded with a clumsy group of problem-ridden enrollees, she realizes she’s in for more than she bargained for. As Mavis and her students rehearse for the big year-end recital, they confess to their frustrations of womanhood, bond together and are transformed into a formidable dance troupe.
