A great story and a great movie that was robbed at the Oscars.

Kanonfilm. Kanskje ikkje så rart når det er Denzel Washington og Oprah Winfrey som står bak produktet. Burde ha vore historiepensum på alle skulenivå. Sterke prestasjonar av Denzel og dei mindre kjende skodespelarane ! Topp karakter til denne !

The story was pretty good, but ran a little long at a few points and some of the subplots could have been left out. Denzel Washington does a decent job pulling double duty, acting and directing in this film. As much as I liked this, it is only my second favorite movie about debate (my favorite is easily Rocket Science). It is fairly predictable at times, but does not take away from the movie too much. Overall a decent movie, based on a true story that I thoroughly enjoyed.

An enjoyable, rousing film, despite its formulaic quality.

This is one of the year's best films.

All of this unfolds with such predictability, the title might as well be The Great Foregone Conclusion.
