This One here was so good, I love the way Seagal has the low voice, and his way of fighting is wicked. the story was good, now many people have complained that in alot of his DTV Films his voice is dubbed and there are stunt doubles in his fight scenes I seen another one of his films and i clearly noticed his voice was dubbed I thought it was stupid but I managed to forget about it and enjoy this film.

URBAN JUSTICE ist so straight wie es alle seine besten filme waren, und dem fazit des films ("he's one cool motherfucker!") ist hier ausnahmsweise einmal nichts mehr hinzuzufügen. heute abend schau ich PISTOL WHIPPED :-)

This is not the Steven Seagal who saves the world; this is the Steven Seagal who throws people into walls, shoots them, and then breaks their necks.

This movie, steven played ballister more like a revenge seeker, but he plays the father part well too. He's the man here, the cool gangsta, a father. =)

(read more) OK,it's friday night and we came back after a couple of pints needing an awesome film to watch that we could really get our heads around...ok we ended up watching this, which was pretty bad - but had enough laughs and stereotypes to keep us going, I don't think i've ever heard the word motherfucker so often in the space of 90 minutes in modern cinema, which has to be applauded - Segal looked rough as fuck in this film and blatantly used stund doubles, i reckon maybe it's time to concentrate on his band or other things - he looks silly now playing the vigilante, I imagine he uses his aikido wrist lock on the local baker when robbing him of his pork pies.

his son gets blown away in a drive by shooting, ballister (segal) vows to track down the killer in true segal style...

Well, this movie was released on home video at 2006 and not 1996. I like Seagal but he's just too darn old. I haven't seen any of the new-breed straight-to-DVD Seagal movies and this wasn't the starting point I was looking for. The basic plot - Seagal searching for the killer of his son we're never sure he's actually met - is just what you want. The execution is appalling. Flat stuff, not helped by filming most of it in the dark (presumably to hide Steve's bulges). You cannot see what is going on! Seagal himself is flawless - a grouchy new voice with a tendency to breathe the word "muthafucka" but with the same shitty attitude we all love. The action is supposed to be flashy but is pretty redundant. Eddie Griffin makes an unlikeable villain and there is a welcome not-quite-love interest. You will waste time from your busy lives watching this, but do it just for fun. The hip-hop track at the end is jaw-dropping.
