Ultimately, I never really gave much of a shit about Wolverine to begin with, so I wasn't expecting much. This movie totally delivers in the "not much" department but it's great if you like CGI claws that look like they'd fit in with Roger Rabbit.

Tontonan yg mengasyikkan di musim panas!! Adegan perkelahian yg seru serta memuaskan rasa penasaran penonton tentang asal muasal karakter wolverine!! Spin-off terbaik yang pernah dibuat Hollywood.
Some decent action and Hugh as Wolverine is fun, but a weak story, somewhat slow pacing and changes from the true origins pull this down.

Despite a pair of reasonably good performances by Jackman and Schreiber (who were clearly doing the best they could with what they had to work with), the film doesn't have a whole lot going for it, and ends up wasting a lot of great source material by dumbing everything down and adding in several unnecessary characters. For example, "Agent Zero" could have easily been played by Deadpool as well, which would have given Ryan Reynolds a larger role in the film and made the ending come together a bit better. As it was, the writing was weak and the ending was abysmal - especially Sabretooth's completely unexplained and unmotivated shift in character. Also, several characters (especially Gambit) seemed tacked on purely to generate more buzz for the film. Considering how good this film could have been if it was in the hands of a studio that cared more about artistic integrity and quality, it feels like a massive wasted opportunity.

Not up to par w/ the X-men films but it's entertaining enough & enjoyable. A little cheesy sometimes but overall, OK.
action-packed and entertaining but what happened to Deadpool? I can't wait to see XMO: Wolverine2 (set in Japan). I hope Bryan Singer will direct this one.

This script is full of wholes, specially towards the end, apart from Wolverine the other characters go from good to bad and back to good far too often plus the last scenes in the nuclear plant make no sense whatsoever. The Gambit character is widely advertised in the cover but comes out only in 3 scenes and is basically wasted. Good bits: The first 20 minutes or so, Hugh Jackman's big muscles and the actor's good performance, Jackman's and Schreiber particularly.

Each CGI set piece erases distance, space, weight, gravity and wit. It's empty, soulless action -- visual noise.full review
Those movies where people get sent to an island somewhere, then discover that everyone's a clone, or a reactor is melting down? Imagine all of that happening at once, only everybody is indestructible.full review

Hugh Jackman's action-filled spinoff delivers on the brawn but not the soul of the "X-Men" franchise that spawned it.full review

The problem with Wolverine isn't that the mythology is detailed and potentially confusing. The bigger issue is that "Wolverine" is so uninvolving that you might not care whether you remember what happened 10 minutes ago.full review
The direction, by Gavin Hood is a case study in mismanagement: of anger, rage, demonic howls that grow into howlers, Olympian camera angles and, above all else, the mismanagement of an unusually personable star.full review
A crude blunderbuss of a superhero movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine proves that the greatest supervillains confronting Marvel Comics' shape-shifters, lycanthropes and mind-readers are clumsy directors and sloppy screenwriters.full review
Perhaps this was the wrong X-Man to command an entire movie. Somebody find Jackman a role in which he gets to smile, and wake me up when Ian McKellen's back to terrorizing the X-world.full review
