And as if that weren't enough, you had to be worried about Vikings. Why? Because Vikings attacked your village to kidnap tribesman in order to sell them as laborers building the pyramids (which, by the way, were built in 10,000 B.C., not around 2,500 B.C. like those silly historians would have you believe). And these Vikings were especially dangerous since they had somehow engineered metal weapons and locking handcuffs and figured out how to ride horses thousands of years before anyone else -- also because you had to chase them through a jungle infested with giant man-eating turkeys and a saber-tooth tiger that somehow survived the extinction of all other saber-tooth tigers some 7 million years before.
But things weren't all bad. Thankfully, the jungle is in walking distance of your frozen mountainous tundra, and the saber-tooth tiger will like you if you save it from being trapped in a pit. On top of that, various African tribesman who can help you defeat the entire Egyptian army live right beyond the jungle! And you need not worry about getting shot with an arrow as long as your tribe has an elderly Asian-looking woman familiar with mysticism who can use her powers to save you. Also, your tribe apparently has leather pants.
suka ama filmnya karena yang main Steven Strait dan Camilla Belle.
akting sih biasa aja... cuma ceritanya bagus ^^
Kalo manusia purba ada yang seganteng Steven Strait, gw mau jadi manusia purba... =))

The script reaches a new low in on-the-nose badness, and the story is too convoluted after the first half hour.
Also, the character were very weak, especially the horde of antagonists. All of them were cookie cutter bad guys whose motivations the audience couldn't comprehend.
And the hero was incredibly dull. If I see another generic Luke Skywalker type protagonist in a fantasy film anytime soon, I'm going to vomit out of sheer disgust.
Don;t even get me started on the love interest, either. She was about as useless and meaningful as ANY female character in a Michael Bay shit-fest. Nothing more than eye-candy.
There was a ton of places where the who Ice Age element (you know, the supposed premise of the film) could have been better exploited. except for the mammoth hunt and the terror birds in the jungle, there weren't that many monsters.
To top it all of, it has the worst, cop-out ending of just about any film with the exception of Transformers 2.
fuck Rolland Emmerich and his unoriginal ass.
I am not sure about the accuracy of Story.......but overall its with good story.........Nice Movie...
Hollywood blockbuster wannabe loaded with CGI graphics. Looks like it cost millions but the result is strictly discount. Things hit a low when the giant ostriches attack and never recover.
This is pretty entertaining, good epic storyline, you just have to ignore some of the more dubious elements. Like geography.

And linguistics. If a stone-age tribe had come up with complex words/ideas, like 'patience', I'm pretty sure they'd have a word for 'snow.' Espc seeing as they're living in the tale end of an ice-age! 'White-rain' is just silly..
Also, I'm guessing Roland Emmerich had come across the work of Graham Hancock. But even Hancock doesn't claim the pyramids were built in 10,000BC. Though he, and others, believe the sphynx was there then & it was missing from the Giza plateau in the film.. (serious nit-pickery, I know)
It's worth watching, but don't expect to get blown away by anything other than the visuals..

It's all just F/X opportunities, exposing Hollywood's -- and our own -- non-relationship to history.full review
Even a cameo by Pauly Shore in Encino Man would liven up this bombastic bore.full review
10,000 BC would be much better if it allowed itself the freedom to be kitsch.full review
The best acting comes from woolly mammoths, man-eating ostriches and a saber-toothed tiger -- and those babies are digital. It's the human actors who look fake.full review
The mammoths are cool. The squealing killer ostriches, perhaps inspired by ancient phorusrhacid fossils, are idiotic but... okay, they're idiotic.full review
If you thought 300 was silly, think of 10,000 BC as 33.333 times sillier.full review
[I] saith to you that I had a strangely good time, and whether that is from laughing at 10,000 B.C. or laughing with it I knoweth not, although I strongly suspect the former.full review
More than anything else, though, the movie recalls the overblown Hollywood biblical epics of the 1950s, with all their attendant anachronisms and free-floating cheese.full review
In the realm of heroic historical loincloth adventures, 10,000 is much less than 300.full review
It's best not to think too hard about anything in 10,000 BC, a sublimely dunderheaded excursion into human prehistory.full review
