Perhaps kids will find this bumbling panda funnier than I did, as the humour will not fly well overhead younger audiences unlike many feature-length animated films. I also wasnât that impressed with the animation â the quality appeared to be a couple of steps back from the current standard. Note that there are some scary scenes involving the enemy snow leopard that may be inappropriate for the really young crowd.
nice story, perfect casting--just look at Jackie Chan and the monkey, they're so alike..but what's more--Jack Black and Po are just IDENTICAL!!!btw,Shifu looks cute;)
A Sweet and entertaining history that doesn't leave any long lasting trails.

A great movie. Great story, animation, voices, etc. I really enjoyed it!
Funny lines and characters with some comedy kung fu fights this will entertain kids and adults alike.
I'll admit, I'm a Jack Black fanboy. The guy can really do no wrong (we'll forget about Nacho Libre). His voice and the animation fit perfectly in this film. The animation was outstanding. His voice and the animation fit perfectly in this film. The animation was outstanding. From the intro done in an old Japanese style leading into the main animation which combines cartoon with Asian flare, I loved everything I saw. The story is cute but just not that touching to rank this up there with Pixar films. Still a good watch.
Decent enough cartoon for the kids. Predictable enough plot & laughs but executed well. No "Bambi's Mom" incidents to shatter small children for years & therapy bills. Some decent jokes in here, too.

The aphorisms creak. The plot's an open book. But all of those clichés are part of the joke in this ebullient ursine coming-of-age tale about a humble panda destined for greatness.full review
The film settles into a succession of ritual spoofs of the kung fu genre, and peddles the sort of cloying preachments about self-esteem and human potential -- panda potential -- that little kids hear all the time on TV.full review
Everything that happens in this dull tale of Po, a paunchy panda who becomes a zealous kung fu fighter, is telegraphed well in advance.full review
Kung Fu Panda gets across important and inevitable plot information in ways that are novel and unexpected. Things simply don't happen the way they usually happen in animated stories.full review
The animation is dazzling, so lovingly detailed you can make out individual hairs on the titular beastie, and full of bright Chinese images.full review
The nicest surprise about Kung Fu Panda is that it's so much better than the goofy-cutesy title would lead you to expect.full review
It's elegantly drawn, the action sequences are packed with energy, and it's short enough that older viewers will be forgiving. For the kids, of course, all this stuff is much of a muchness, and here they go again.full review
While its storyline might seem familiar (in fact, very familiar if you've seen the recent live-action Jackie Chan/Jet Li hit, The Forbidden Kingdom), there's enough invention and irreverence to make the film feel fresh.full review
