There's no doubting this is a Tim Burton film, and Johnny Depp as lead is another good (although obvious) choice of his for the lead. Stylistically it is a fantastic dystopia of old London town.

I must admit this movie surprised me somewhat... I mean Burton's psichopathic Darkview which I love was present, but would Depp and Carter pull it off? I was pleasantly surprised. great characterisation, and a twisted ass story.

Surprisingly entertaining. I'm not usually a big fan of musicals, but there are some fun songs in this and a bit of blood thrown in. Better than expected

A great play for Depp, and with Burton, will never disappoint you. I don't know if it's better that the original music show (really, i never had the oportunity of see it), but, I like this movie.

Fantastic. Never heard the story before so didn't know what to expect at all and I was very pleasantly surprised. Depp was fabulous, one of his best roles and the rest of the cast was excellent too. I can't fault it at all.

With a musical, a victorian era setting and thriller genre mixed into a movie, Sweeney Todd is the great result!

Sweeney Todd is as much a horror film as a musical. It is also something close to a masterpiece.

This well-sung and perfectly acted adaptation falls way short of a triumph because Burton misplaces his sense of humor. He only almost makes Sweeney Todd his own.

Sweeney Todd is a thriller-diller from start to finish: scary, monstrously funny and melodically thrilling. And Depp is simply stupendous.
