Forcement desuet pour un regard actuel, le film original avait l'immense merite d'etre d'un cynisme effarant et de decrypter, avec une prescience remarquable, la violence et le voyeurisme croissant des medias au tournant des annees 2000. Si cet aspect a ete conserve dans la nouvelle version, il ne fait cependant preuve d'aucune originalite particuliere et, surtout, s'efface totalement au profit d'un banal film d'action, avec taulards, bolides customises et accidents spectaculaires. Un relookage futuriste de Fast & Furious en somme, pas foncierement mal realise mais qui merite pleinement le qualificatif de "remake au rabais".
Wasn't paying too much attention, but its Jason, and shit gets blown up. Fine by me :D
Once again its a typical Jason Statham film with cars and things being blown up. Entertaining and fun to watch but nothing that will blow your mind

I liked the plot of this movie but my hopes wasnt to high for this movie, but I got a surprise when I saw it..Jasob Statham plays Jensen Ames, a former racecar driver,who is forced by the warden to race against other inmates in a race where everything goes no rules in that race...
Surprisingly interesting for a movie that is 75% car races and gun fire. Aside from the occasional excessive gore and feeling that the movie is trying to sell a video game, the action was pretty good and the story was decent.
Would rather watch the original, with David Carradine as Frankenstein.
Of course the real 'death race' occurs when your air is choked off before you can eja-...well, you know.
