Different story, good acting, exciting. Had me on the edge of my seat. Good endng too.

Sur un procédé ingénieux (pompé sur un conte de la crypte tout de même), Awake déploie une intrigue de Thriller Vaudevillesque mille fois vu pour ce conclure sur du mélo surfait et surtout prévisible. Un gachis.

I don't really know what the concept of anastethic awareness could be used for in a movie but in this case it feels more like a gimmick that an actual plot device. It does have a twist but not enough to make the movie good.

Had so much potential and the surgery scene is pretty intense and great in the beginning but the story only gets interesting in the last few minutes after being boring for over an hour. Unfortunately then it is rushed through.

Makes one want to assume a state of mind opposite to the film's title.

With a couple of more drafts to mend the plot holes and restructure the middle act, Awake could have been saved.

Accuracy is not the point. Suspense is. And from the moment Clay realizes he is not fully under anesthesia and can hear and feel everything that is happening, the movie had me.

The filmmakers of Awake have crafted a domestic thriller that just may end up putting you ASLEEP.
